Grilled Tuna

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
Delicious. Hubby came home from Seattle with a ton of tuna and I needed some ideas on what to do with this. We loved this recipe. It was so moist and flavorful. Thanks for the post.

Scallops One - Two - Three

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
Hubby went to Seattle and came home with TONS of fresh fish (very hard to get here in the Midwest). Had lots of scallops and this is one of the recipes that we tried...YUMMY. Thanks for the post.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
Very good. I did reduce the amount of cream cheese after reading the reviews (I halved the amounts), and still had too much. It was great, but for some reason my frosting was too runny and I had to keep adding sugar to thicken it. I will definately keep making this anytime we have the craving. Thanks for the post.

Polenta Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
As this recipe stands...it is bland. I added some italian seasonings and a little more cheese to help with that. Hubby said that they were just ok. I figured out that we just aren't big polenta fans. Thanks anyway for the post.

Best Potatoes You'll Ever Taste

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Not our favorite. Hubby asked me why I didn't make my "normal" potatoes. After asking why...he says he likes mine much better. It was ok...but not for us. Thanks anyway for the post.

Chocolate Hazelnut Fruit Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Yum Yum Yum. I did add the bananas to some of them, but the others I left without. The crepes without the bananas I served with strawberries and whipped cream. Also added a touch of chocolate sauce over the top...very pretty. Thanks for the post.

Funnel Cakes I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Delicious...I added just a little bit of vanilla extract and it was just the right touch. I don't have a funnel either, so I used a pastry bag instead. Dust it with some powder sugar and that's all you need. One of the best I have had. Thanks for the post.

S'mores

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Ok...the only thing I can say is delicious. I did make some more of the graham cracker mixture (per the advice of other reviewers). Instead of the semi-sweet, I used milk and white chocolate (sorta a half and half mixture). Made this for a supper at my parent and the adults and kids ate them up quickly...no leftovers. Thanks for the post.

Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
This is a good and easy sandwich to make for when you want a quick supper and don't want to stand over the stove for the entire time. Changed a few things. I put the poultry seasonings on the chicken and let it marinade for about an hour. I grilled the onion (on the inside grill) along with the chicken. I also used colby jack cheese instead of pepper jack...didn't have any. Hubby is gonna be upset that he missed this one...guess I will just have to make again. Thanks for the post.

Basil Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
This is really good. Unfortunately I made some changes to the recipe to suit our tastes (hence the 4 star rating). I pounded out the chicken breasts for even cooking and added some fresh garlic (like another reviewer suggested). I also omitted the pimentos (didn't have any). I added just a splash of dry white wine. Fabulous over some noodles. Will definately make again. Thanks for the post.

Lemon Mushroom Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
YUMMO. This stuff is great. I did omit the capers...because I didn't have any and used roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup. Everything else I followed to a "T". Delicious. I served this with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and corn. This will be made many times more. Thanks for the post.

Best Ever Cinnamon Pull Aparts

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
These were good. I baked them in a muffin cup so that each person would get their own individual serving. I didn't have to bake them the entire time...about 17 minutes. They were great. I also reduced the amount of suger a little bit...wanted more of a cream cheese taste. Thanks for the post.

Marshmallow Treats

Rice crispie treats....loved these when I was a kid. Now I add milk chocolate chips or M-n-M's to them. The kids love it (and adults do too.) Thanks for the post.

Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
This is one of my favorite recipes during this time of the year. The only thing that I do differently is to use an already made pound cake (we like Sara Lee). We decorate it the same way...just smaller (since there are only 3 of us.) Thanks for a reminder and a great recipe.

Uglies

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
These were good and easy to make. I can see how another reviewer thought these were reminiscent of school cafeteria food. It did taste like sloppy joes on top of biscuits....but that is what they are. Will make again for kids, but don't really think it is the best for adults. Thanks for the post.

California Salad Bowl

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
I really wanted to love this recipe, but we didn't. I saw others say that it was bland but it tasted like guacamole on lettuce. The dressing was so thick also...and tasted alot like olive oil. I ended up throwing the dressing away, but keeping the salad part (thank goodness I didn't put the dressing on the lettuce before tasting it.) Sorry this wasn't for us..

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
YUMMY. These were delicious and easy. They didn't have as much "sweet" as the cookies that I am used to. I did add some vanilla and some milk chocolate chips. Have to admit the cooking time threw me...there is a huge difference between 4 and 10 minutes...mine took about 8 1/2 to 9. Thanks for the post.

Seasoned Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
We love roasted garlic and make it all the time. I did use less seasoning and much less oil. It really didn't need al that much. (just eyeballed it...didn't measure anything). It turned out great...with the seasonings. Thanks for the post.

These were good. My only comment and change was garlic (we don't eat potatoes without it). Delicious and very easy. Thanks for the post.
