Dinah's Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
This is our new favorite sea scallop recipe so far. They turn out golden and so delicious. This recipe really allows the sweetness of the scallop to shine through and it just enhances the flavor. Absolutely amazing...will make sure that I make this on a regular basis. Thanks for the post.

Simply Swordfish

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Perfect. This was the first time that we have had swordfish and it was amazing. I didn't add the lemon pepper, instead added freshly cracked black pepper and just a splash more lemon juice. Simply put....simply delicious. Thanks for the post.

Bearnaise Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Very good...First time making Bearnaise for fish and it was good. After reading the reviews I was afraid that the vinegar would be too strong so I reduced it by half. Definately will make again. Thanks for the post.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Really, Really, Really good stuff. The only change was dried ginger instead of the fresh (didn't have any on hand). I also added just a bit more honey after. I baked the fish instead of pan frying (for the health factor) and reduced the sauce in a pan and poured over the fish. Really liked how this turned out. Thanks for the post.

Onion Rings

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
I liked the way that some of these turned out...unfortunately I had a very hard time keeping the batter on the onion while frying. I didn't have the sweet problem like some other reviewers and those that turned out ok tasted really good. Thanks for the post, but I think I will keep trying to find a recipe that will work better.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
These were good...and easy. I am not sure that I "loved" the oats with the peanut butter, but with the heat wave we have been having I like any dessert that doesn't make me heat up the oven. Thanks for the post.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
YUMM-O. This is really good. I did double the glaze because we really like our sauces...and I am glad that I did. The only thing I added was some green onions for color and a little bit of a crunch (after baking). I really liked it and hubby said it was good too. Definately will keep this in our rotation. Thanks for the post.

Easy Lasagna I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
This was good. I did make a few changes though. I mixed the ricotta cheese with some cottage cheese (accidently ran out and didn't have enough ricotta). Also used fresh mushrooms instead of canned and sauted them with the ground beef. Lastly...had to add garlic. Turned out really well. With so many lasagna recipes on here...this really stands up to the others. Thanks for the post.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
How can you go wrong with chicken, bacon, and pineapple? This is delicious. It works great for a BBQ when there is standing room only. Kids love anything on a stick as well. Thanks for the post.

Hugh's Dry Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
Use this on a regular basis...its good. I realize from another reviewer that it does bear a small resemblance to Emeril's Essence recipe. Thanks for the post.

Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
I added just a touch more of vanilla and used it with crescent rolls for cheese danish. Definately good for its purpose. Will keep making, thanks for the post.

Corn Tortilla Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
Took reviewer Breeze's advice and baked them and they turned out well. Honestly for the price and the trouble I am just going to rely on Tostito from now on. Don't get me wrong these are really good, but with a 1 yr. old I just don't have the time (or the patience) to do this. Thanks for the post.

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
I really liked these. I did add some green onions for color and used the imitation crab meat instead of the canned. I also added just a splash of soy sauce. They turned out really well. I only made these changes after trying the recipe as written first (except for the imitation crab meat). I didn't think it had enough flavor or color for our liking. Thanks for the post.

Grilled Corn in the Husk

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
I do this completely different...the cooking method I mean. I actually grill the corn first and then take the husks and silk off. It comes off so much easier and the flavor is to die for. I also added the butter mixture after grilling. Reduced the amount of salt and pepper to taste and it was good....not the best, but good. Thanks for the post.

Pigs in a Blanket

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
I love these. My mom used to make them all the time for us when we were younger. Now I get to do the same for my son (who LOVES hotdogs). The only thing we do differently is change up the cheeses to suit however we feel that day (or have in the fridge) and sometimes we use the crescent dough instead (just depends on what I have on hand). Thanks fore the post.

Seared Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2006
Delicious. I rarely get the chance to have sea scallops and I love them. This recipe is amazing. Simple and easy. I did follow the advice of another reviewer and added some lemon juice and white wine to make a simple sauce. A keeper, thanks for the post.

Vidalia Heaven

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
This was very good. I did add 2 whole cloves of garlic (that I crushed). I liked the addition of the beef bullion. I don't think it tasted like French Onion Soup (like others mentioned), but it was delicious. Had a guest and they said it was good. Thanks for the post.

This is the best pretzel salad from this site. For some reason the ingredient measurements are perfect and they work. Delicious. Thanks for the post.
