Coconut Poke Cake

OMG!! I don't make a habit of doing reviews but this one deserves gushing over. I use a bundt pan with French Vanilla cake mix and it absorbes almost all of the liquid. I refrigerate it overnight before icing and serving. For the icing I use a can of whipped Whipped Cream Icing (Betty Crocker), 8 ounce container of Cool Whip, 1-2 tsp of coconut extract and a ton of coconut flakes (no sprinkling here). For my friends that are not as fond of coconut, the cake is perfect without any icing - so moist! As others have stated, the Cream of Coconut is in the drink mixers section. I will be experimenting with other flavors to 'poke' into my cakes, I'll let you know how it goes!

Bacon Chicken I

Excellent. It's what I'm always looking for. Different flavor, quick and easy. Be SURE to cook the bacon almost all the way done BEFORE you put it on the chicken unless you like it soggy.

Lemon Pepper Shrimp with Mustard

My favorite kind of recipe - fast and easy. It came out tasting like it must have taken hours to prepare (no one needs to know but us). I used dijon mustard and served it with rice. I'll use linguine next time. I'll use this recipe often, especially for guests.

Mandarin Chicken Skillet

Excellent flavor, not to sweet, just different enough to make it special. I don't ever use bullion cubes (MSG) so I used 2 packages of Lipton Cup-a-Soup Cream of chicken instead of the cubes and left out the flour. Take the advice of others, add the can of orange segments at the very end of the process.

Herbal Tuna Salad

Excellent. A good blend of spices and condiments for a different flavor. Don't change anything on this recipe. Serve it on melba toast or romaine lettuce with club crackers.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Very good, different. The sauce is thin but you don't need it on the chicken after it's simmered in it for 15 minutes. I will definately make it again.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

The only reason I gave it three stars is because the foil is a brilliant idea. The biggest mistake is the seasoning. I injected the chicken generously with Goya Mojo Criollo Marinade, rubbed on the spices and left it in the refrigerator overnight. It turned out great.

Banana Cream Pie III

Excellent pie, very easy. I took the advice of some previous reviewers and used banana and french vanilla pudding mixes. DEFINATELY go with a ready-made crust like graham cracker, vanilla wafer or chocolate.

Banana Pineapple Delight

Make sure you take the advice of a previous reviewer and stir constantly while at medium heat. It will clump terribly if you don't. I made an ANZAC crust which includes coconut and it came out with the perfect flavor combination.

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

I've tried dozens of recipes on this website, mostly looking for something different, and this one is the title winner so far! I LOVE the sauce, it's pretty quick, very easy and (did I say this already?) I LOVE THE SAUCE!! I added a little bit of the sauce 5 minutes before adding the grapes and it soaked in great. Make SURE to use a good (expensive) White Wine Vinegar, it'll make a big difference. This recipe is #1 for me and my husband went nuts over...... the SAUCE!

Lime Chicken Picante

Very tasty. The mustard makes it different in a good way. I marinated it for several hours. After boiling the marinade (and before adding it back to the chicken) I added another 1/2 cup of salsa, 1/8 cup dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon lime juice. It ended up making just the right amount of marinade with the added ingredients.

Oven-roasted Salmon Steaks with Red Potatoes

I really like the spice combination for the fish, would have never come up with that on my own!! It was alot of trouble, had to go in and out of the oven way too many times. Too time consuming for my liking and the potatoes need SOME kind of flavor!

Sesame Green Beans

Very good and very simple. Be sure to use a good quality chicken broth (preferably some you have left over from a previous menu). The author suggests trying this with broccoli. I will do that next time!

Better Slow Cooker Robust Chicken

A very good recipe. I dropped the olives and exchanged the dry chicken gravy mix for the same amount of Lipton Cup-A-Soup Cream of Chicken instant soup mix, same quantity. The main reason was because all of the gravy mixes had MSG and I refuse to add that to my food. Secondarily it ended up giving it a better flavor and a slightly thicker sauce.

Aimee's Quick Chicken

My FAVORITE kind of recipe! Quick and easy! It tasted GREAT! A blend I wouldn't have come up with on my own but loved it. I used turkey instead of chicken (I usually do) so I cooked it about 5 minutes longer. I served steamed veggies (with roasted garlic) and angel hair pasta on the side. The whole thing took no time to prepare. I highly recommend this recipe for anyone in a hurry that doesn't want the same old thing.....

Basic Chicken Salad

Very good but nothing special. To make it quick I add shell pasta and use Perdue's Short Cut chicken in whichever flavor I'm in the mood for. For a special chicken salad recipe (sweet flavored dressing), go on this website and look up Chicken Cashew Salad.

I enjoyed this recipe and it's QUICK AND EASY, just the way I like it. I would suggest only using sea scallops, never bay. If you like a little extra zest, use roasted garlic.

Pepper Rice and Confetti Beef
