Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 14, 2003
This is the worst recipe I have EVER tried! Although I followed the recipe exactly and chilled the dough 4 hours, I couldn't roll it out. The dough kept sticking the the rolling pin and breaking apart. I had to throw the mess out.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2003
This bread is a wonderful, chocolatey treat. The texture is very moist. My only suggestions are: 1) thoroughly grease the pans, 2) use mini chocolate chips in the recipe, and 3) let the loaves cool at least 10 minutes before you try to remove them from the pan.

Grandmother's Punch

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2003
This punch is tasty and so easy to make. I served it at my mother's birthday party yesterday, and everyone raved about it. I will definitely make it again.

Yum! This salad is refreshing for a warm summer evening. It took just minutes to make. It's a winner.

Artichoke Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2003
I receive compliments and a clean dish every time I make this recipe. The good news is, you don't need a blender or food processor to make this recipe. I used a hand-held electric mixer to blend the ingredients together, except for the artichoke hearts. Then I chopped the artichoke hearts and used a spoon to mix them into the other ingredients. Quick, delicious and easy.

Cool Whip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2003
These were OK...I used chocolate cake mix and the dough was very sticky and difficult to work with. Plus, I needed to bake the cookies at least 12 minutes, not 8 as stated in the recipe. Although the cookies tasted good, I'll probably try a different recipe next time.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marble Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
I absolutely loved this cake!! It had a light peanut butter flavor mixed in with the chocolate. The cake is very moist and attractive. I frosted the cake with home-made fudge icing. Yum! This cake was the hit of our family party.

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
This recipe is absolutely awesome!! The sauce is wonderful, creamy and tasty. I used bow-tie pasta, fresh broccoli and frozen shrimp. If you use frozen shrimp, just heat it with the broccoli for a couple of minutes until it's hot. Only one word of caution. You may want to melt the butter and add the flour over low heat, not medium. I burned the first batch of butter and flour because I used medium heat.

Striped Pesto Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
Good, but a bit rich. I took this to a party that 30 people attended, and several people said they loved this spread. I had to take half of it home with me because it was so rich.

Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
This is a good recipe. The only suggestion I have is to add some lemon juice to the pesto or store it in the refrigerator with a thin layer of olive oil on the top. Otherwise, the top of the pesto turns black.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

These are good, but I wouldn't characterize them as the best cookie I've ever eaten.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2004
This recipe is awesome, simple to make and easy to halve. Use the best chocolate you can find, which in my case was Ghiradelli's. It was so yummy, and perfect for a romantic weekend. Instead of sticking the dipped strawberries on wax paper, you can manipulate the strawberry with two toothpicks and place it leaf side down on the waxed paper.

Peppermint Patty Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
After reading the list of sinful ingredients, I knew I had to make them...and I wasn't disappointed! These brownies are rich, moist and yummy. It's best to use real butter, which adds to the richness. I've probably made these brownies 30 times over the years and they're always a hit!

Peanut Butter Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
I could spend hours praising the virtues of this coffee cake!! It has the perfect peanut-buttery taste, an extra-yummy topping, and a wonderfully moist texture. Plus, it's easy to make! I took it to work and received so many praises that I sent everyone a link to this recipe. Try mixing about 1 cup of mini chocolate chips in the topping. YUM!

A good recipe, but a bit "ketchupy" for me. Try adding some chili powder for extra spice.

Sweet Polish Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
This is an excellent recipe and very easy to make! I simmered the sausage for just 20 minute and it turned out just fine. You can cut back on the brown sugar. Plus, depending on the brand of kielbasa, the fat grams may be less than those indicated on the recipe.

I made this recipe using lemon juice and while very good, it was a little tart. Next time I plan to use 1/8 or 1/4 cup lemon juice.
