Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Taste was great, the cake consistency was moist. I gave this a 3 start because I tried making it twice and both times the pumpkin mixture came out sticky and very hard to roll up. It came out more like pumpkin bread...thick. I tried rolling it and the whole thing stuck together, I even tried using parchment paper to help...same result. Seems like something's missing here.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Yummy but I had to add a lot of seasonings to make the taste better (salt, black pepper, parsley, Italian seasoning). I added the dough pieces 15 minutes before I served. And even them the dough wasn't ready. I suggest using a smaller amount of dough and making little pieces 20-25 mins earlier so that everything's evenly cooked. Next time i'll also add more veggies.

Man Loaf (Variation of the Meatloaf)

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
My husband's always begging me to make this at least every 2 weeks. I myself am not a big meatloaf kind of person because most are dry, but this is AMAZING! Even my 2 year old son (picky, picky) loves it. I always add extra cheese and barbecue sauce inside and out of the meatloaf. Fantastic....this meatloaf never gets old in our family. Thanks!

Bacon Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
These were good but they seemed to be missing something. They are a little too dry and tasteless for being bacon cheese muffins.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
So tasty. I absolutely love Indian food, love how spicy most is and the amount of flavor it has. This is by far my favorite, my husband and I LOVED it!! We used tandoori garlic bread for dipping. I suggest buying dark meat chicken if you can find it, it is so moist unlike white meat. Thanks!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Pretty tasty. I like how creamy it turned out to be, however next time I will use a smaller casserole dish. 13x9 is way too big because it sat at the bottom, looked like it wasn't a full dish at all. An 8x8 glass dish would look much better. And I will also add the onion straws, it always makes it taste and look better.

Polish Sausage Kraut Skillet

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Very yummy! Didn't have beef bouillon or caraway seed and even after omitting those it was still delicious. I added some more spices for flavor and definitely replace water with chicken broth it makes it so much better! My husband loves it and my friends wanted the recipe!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Delicious and full of flavor. Although it is too much liquid for the amount of chicken and pasta. You probably only need 2 cups milk and 1 cup half and half. I also added shrimp and it was still too watery. Next time I will lessen the milk.

Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Excellent! Very tasty, my husband LOVED it! Although next time I will marinate longer. It would really flavor the salmon.

Holiday Brie en Croute

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
Amazing! I made this as an appetizer/dessert for a double date. It was ALL gone by the end of the night. The apricot jam and cranberries really compliment each other and the pastry and almonds give it a nice crunch. Let's just say I will be making again!! Thanks a bunch!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
It is very tasty! However, next time I will do a lot less spinach. Canned spinach is not so great and 2 cans was way too much. Also, I will double the sauce and add caramelized onions. The cheese on top is sooo good!!

Apple Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
It was very good and very easy. Use more flour so it's not so runny next time and cook longer so the apples are softer.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
It was good but next time I will use less basil. Too much of it made it taste sweet and I like my lentil soup very savory.

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
Amazing!! I'm going to cook the brownie mixture in half the time next time because it was a little over done. Then poor the cream cheese mix on top and finish cooking...that way the brownie under is still soft and gooey

7-Layer Taco Dip

Excellent!! Everyone always begs me to make it for parties, etc. Sometimes I omit olives, sometimes add guacamole dip layer in. It's gone by the end of the night!

Cucumber Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2014
They are good but even if you cut out seeds and layer cucumbers, the white bread still gets soggy. I'll look for maybe french baguette bread next time so the whole thing stays together. I sometimes use ranch dressing mix as well.
