About this Cook
I work full time and have a lot of interests outside work and my home.
My favorite things to cook
Anything.. I love trying new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday baking!
My cooking triumphs
Peanut butter fudge. Everyone who has tried it raves over it. Healthy food that still tastes great... been told more than once I make THE best turkey burger.
My cooking tragedies
Setting a pot of boiling water on fire... I don't think that one will ever be forgotten :)

My Ambrosia
I did forget to add to the recipe but YES make sure to drain the fruit well... I have even used paper towels gently to dry it off! That way the salad doesn't get soupy. Also good with flavored cool whip when it's available or adding a little bit of vanilla extract.

Potato Chip Cookies VI
I was looking for a specific cookie my godmother used to make when I was a kid... these were not it.... they were good except way too much sugar. If I try these again the sugar could probably easily be halved.

Love love love the texure, nice and firm yet fluffy... even better the next day! Do yourself a favor and make these with buttermilk. If you find the batter a little too stiff add a little water or regular milk. Only giving 4 stars though because I thought they were a little bland. My mom always adds seasonings to hers.. pepper, garlic powder and onion powder... shoulda listened to mom, she's always right! lol
