I began cooking at a restaurant in college to help pay the bills and I fell in love. I decided I wanted to go to Culinary School, but that didn't work out. I continued working as a cook in different restaurants until I got burned out.
I don't work in the food business anymore but it's still my passion and I'm looking for opportunities outside of the restaurant scene to make it my income.
I have an awesome husband that is my personal sou chef and taste tester. Trying and making new recipes is one of the things that we really enjoy doing together.

Several years back I tried my hand at sweet potato casserole. While adding the spices I grabbed the cumin instead of the cinnamon. I was going to throw it away, but my husband said to bake it. He loved it and ate most of it over the next week.
