Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2013
Thought I had to try this recipe, it looked delicious. It smelled wonderful when I made the sauce and the chicken was in the oven. However, the taste just didn't live up to my expectations. I used chicken breasts and the original recipe except 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar in place of the Splenda. My family was not interested, husband said it looked like a tv dinner. It wasn't terrible but I won't be making it again.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
I have this cooking in the crock pot as I type this. I've made it several times and it comes out perfect. I do not use the onion soup packet (has MSG). Instead I use butter or olive oil with black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. I add potatoes and carrots toward the end of cooking.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
Every time I make this I use it on top of angel hair with marinara and Parmesan over the top. It makes a very moist chicken with great flavor.

Bread Machine Calzone

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
This makes a great and easy dinner. I make it frequently and usually just put cheese and olives inside (and red onions in part for myself). I think it's more of a Stromboli than a calzone though. I brush the top with butter and sprinkle garlic salt on top when it has about 5 mins left of baking.

Glazed Almond Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
I'm not much of an almond fan, but I decided to make this because I got fresh from the orchard almonds. It was delicious. This would be perfect for a brunch or at breakfast with some coffee. I would say the glaze is a must to keep it sweet. A very dense cake.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
These are my go-to roll! I think these have the taste of true homemade bread. I make the dough in the bread machine and bake them in the oven in glass dishes. It takes away the risk of the bottoms getting burnt or crisp, they turn out nice and soft this way. It makes about 20 or so rolls and the recipe is perfect as is. The packet of yeast translates to 2 1/4 teaspoons for those of us that use bulk yeast. These were a hit at my children's baptism brunch as well as Thanksgiving dinner; very versatile, yummy rolls!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Delicious, fluffy and moist pancakes. We often eat breakfast for dinner and these are usually the star of the meal. I think the buttermilk mixture makes them nice and fluffy. I don't change a thing about the recipe except maybe make a double batch. If I don't we are all left wanting more. I refrigerate the leftovers for breakfast the next morning.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Best cornbread we've ever eaten! I make this all of the time, it goes great with chili of course and I like it with a turkey dinner. I don't change a thing about the recipe, it's perfect as is. A moist, sweet and filling cornbread.
