Easy Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
Excellent and so easy.. you can add whatever extra seasoning you want to the coating. I did make a kind of alfredo type sauce to spoon over the top. I made it for my aunt and she raved about it.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
This was great. I used beef brisket b/c it was really cheap and it was excellent. I just left in in the slow cooker on low before I left the house in the morning and 10 hours later, voila! I sauteed some onions and peppers and broiled butttered buns. Then I put the meat and veggies on and melted mozarella on the top and bottoms. Excellent! And the recipe doesn't call for broth so since there were reviews that said it was too salty I justed used water as instructed and there was no issue with the salt level. Maybe you should try following the recipe and not give the recipe a bad review when you modified it.

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Easy and good flavor without having to slow cook them all day. I probably put a bit too much water in so it took a couple of hours to cook down but no big deal.

Saffron Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
wonderful.. I did use chicken stock like some others suggested and cut the butter to 4 tblspns. That was plenty.. the texture of the rice was great--I'm not generally a fan of rice.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Very good. I used applesauce instead of butter or oil to cut down on the fat and calories a bit. left the topping on but used low fat margarine. No one else mentioned this but when I baked them the topping seemed to sink a little into the muffins but that was not a bad thing.. it created a brown sugar/cinnamon swirl in the middle of the muffin and made it almost decadent.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
so easy and mine did not crack but I used a water bath. I also ran out of lemon juice and subbed 1/2 lime juice so it kind of had a keylime quality to it. Added a tblspn of vanilla too and only used 2 blocks of cream cheese per suggestions.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
this was very good. I left out the cheese just because it didn't seem appetizing to me and I added some chopped onion I already had hanging around as well as a 1/2 can of peas.

Cucumber-Mango Salsa

Everyone loved this. My husband used it with tortiillas even though I made it to go with pork loin. He said he's going to finish it off as a midnight snack.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Didn't have enough sour cream and saw that someone had used strawberry yogurt so I ended up using the blueberry yogurt that I had. I also didn't use butter.. used applesauce instead and it was great. Oh.. also cheated by using self-rising flour and omitting salt and baking soda. Added 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
I started off using only butter but didn't think that the amount would be enough for my cake (I was wrong) so I added to it and didn't have any more room temp butter so decided to use shortening and I liked the texture and the flavor was still very good.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Perfect cookies. I didn't have enough all purpose flour on hand so I subbed self-rising and eliminated the salt and baking powder. I also didn't have stick margarine so I used unsalted butter instead and added back in abt a 1/4 tsp salt to compensate. They were delicious and the texture was perfect. Take them out right when you see very slight slight browning on the top
