Banana Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: May 30, 2003
Nothing to write home about. I followed the recipe exactly just to see.. definitely needs tweaking as suggested by most of the other reviewers. Pretty bland and definitely cake-like.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
I added oreos and everyone at work said it was 10 times better than the store bought pies brought by coworkers. It's awesome... the last piece i broke up into vanilla milkshakes for the kids.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I baked this and took it to work and in the words of one of my coworkers.. "this coffee cake is freakin' awesome!" I heard several people walking down the hallway asking who made it. I will definitely make it for Thanksgiving morning.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I made several batches of these and took the leftovers to work about 3 days after I made them and people raved about how good they were and they were still soft--I kept them in ziploc bags. My husband asked me to make more tonight so we can give them to the firemen at our neighborhood fire station--wink wink.

Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
My husband says this is the best chocolate icing/glaze he's ever had. I certainly can't argue because it's the easiest thing I've ever made!

Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I forgot to pick up the ranch dressing at the grocery store so I had some onion soup mix in the cabinet and used that instead. I also added some chopped black beans and chopped onion. I thought 3 cloves of garlic was too much for my taste and it was. Next time I'll use only one.

Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This really was very good. I was skeptical. As others suggested, I used chocolate graham crackers (not to be confused with chocolate-covered graham crackers). I also used sugar free pudding mix and fat free cool whip. All the kids loved it and ate it for days. And it is definitely better if you let it refrigerate for 4-6 hours but even better is overnight--the longer the better--everything starts to meld together. Will definitely be making this again.

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I got very good reviews making this for a pretty large crowd. The only changes I made were adding 3 tablespoons of italian seasoning (I doubled the recipe though) and chopping up meatballs and mixing them into the cheese mixture. You can use however many meatballs you want. It was great.

I hated it. I could not believe how much I could taste the beer. We threw it out and went out to eat instead.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I took it work and one of my coworkers called me evil... the other one said "you know.. I could have eaten that whole cake!" I did what some of the other people did: 3 teaspoons of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 c canola, 3/4 c unsweetened applesauce, and I added raisins because I love them. I cheated and bought already shredded matchstick carrots and just cut most of them in 1/2. I subbed neufatel cheese and low fat butter for the full fat versions in the icing. My husband's coming home tonight from being out of town so I left 1/2 of it at home for him. I hope I can control myself when I get home!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I tried 3 rounds of baking to try and end up with cookie dough unbaked but regardless, if I cooked the cupcake enough, the cookie was melted. I used frozen dough balls. I suppose if I could get this to turn out right, I might up the stars but it's not worth the trouble to me to keep trying.

Italian Chicken Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
So simple and very good. I added some sauteed mushrooms, peas and put out some parmesan cheese for anyone who wanted to top it wiht that. For the chicken, I used cutlets and marinated them in the italian dressing for a couple of hours and baked them in the oven while I was cooking the pasta. Everyone liked it a lot and my daughter asked me to pack the leftovers for her lunch the next day just like another reviewer said.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
I actually used 1/4 cup splenda brown sugar (which equates to 1/2 cup), a humped 1/4 cup of white sugar, eyeballed about a 1/4 tspn nutmeg and 1/2 tsp of salt, used 1 egg instead of whites, 2 bananas, and self rising flour so I omitted baking soda and powder.Very good.. not rubbery at all.

10 Pound Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
It's like the jello no bake cheesecake in a box but I think this is better. I halfed it by looking at the comments b/c I just wanted one normal sized cake and I used a store bought graham crust. It was exactly the right portion size for the crust and so easy to make. I actually read off the ingredients and let my 12 year old do all the work.
