Yummy Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2003
I don't know what other people are talking about when they say this dish has no flavor---I thought it was fabulous!! The steak was so tender and it smelled amazing while it was cooking. The only changes I made was to use diced tomatoes instead of crushed, and zucchini instead of the pepper, just because that's what I had on hand and they worked perfectly. I served this over egg noodles with grated cheese and even my picky toddler ate some!! Thanks Melissa for a dish I'll be making very frequently!

Oven Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: May 4, 2003
These eggs were very fluffy, but they took about 25 minutes to cook. They ended up being very salty, maybe because I used salted butter in the recipe? Next time I'll use unsalted butter and season after cooking. It's nice not having to stand over the stove, though. Thanks for sharing.

Noodles Alfredo

Reviewed: May 4, 2003
OMG!!! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!! I've made a few other alfredo sauces that were horrible, so I was a little nervous. But this one is so quick and easy and the flavor is unbelievable!! I've used it to make chicken broccoli alfredo and even my husband loved it! Would give more stars if possible---thanks for sharing!!!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: May 4, 2003
This was a good lasagna recipe, however I definately plan on making a few revisions the next time I make it. Definately add more of all the seasonings(esp. garlic) to the sauce, and omit the salt in the cheese mixture---the cheeses are salty enough on their own. Overall very good. I had no problem with the sauce, didn't add any extra sauces to it, and had plenty for the whole lasagna. The trick is to spread it out thinly over each layer, instead of just spooning it on. Also, add some sauce to the bottom of the dish before adding your noodles. This lasagna cut so easily.

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: May 4, 2003
Sorry, but I thought these pancakes were horrible!! I didn't even get a chance to finish cooking them, they were taking forever and didn't spread like pancakes, just kind of made little glops. I increased the heat a little and they burned instantly. I was really looking forward to trying these and wish they had turned out as good as some other posters said. Definately won't be trying again.

Haitian French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2003
This french toast was awesome for a nice change from the ordinary!! My husband loved it as well as my 1 yr old (very picky) daughter!! I froze the few slices we had leftover and heated them in the microwave for my daughter to have for a quick breakfast during the week. Very Good--thanks for the recipe!
