About this Cook
My mother made my 2 brothers and I learn to cook when we were young to prepare us for when we left the nest. My brother went on to becoem a chef and I worked in kitchens for 8 years. The reason my wife married me. :) Thank you for those that have rated my cornbread recipe! I am happy that others are enjoying it too. Fot a hot pepper sauce in the recipe, if you don't like the tobasco flavour, try another hot sauce. I actually do not use tobacso as it has a very distinct flavour that comes through too much.
My favorite things to cook
Simple things, with a twist. A grilled cheese sadnwich with a slice of pepper jack cheese added to the cheddar is great with a bowl of tomato soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I still make chili, spagetti and lasagne the way my mother made it. You can't get any better than mother's food. There is a chocolate cake recipe that was always made for birthdays growing up that I should add here too.

Autumn Pork Roast
I loved this the first time I made it and am making it again tomorrow for family. This recipe is added to my favourites as I know I will make this many more times!

Marinated Flank Steak
I've made this a few times and every time people have loved it. I think I have passed along the printed recipe 3-4 times now. The only thing I have done different is marinated at least 24 hours and in one case it was 48 hours. So amazing after that.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham
I loved this recipe! I did not have any pinapple juice nor did I have oranges, so I used a tangerine instead. My wife said this was the best ham she had ever had in her life. Definately a keeper!
