Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Great recipe, I made it with a home made crust and it was great. Only thing I did differently was add glaze to the final product, which I would not recommend doing as I felt like the sugar was overkill.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I thought this recipe was a fantastic one for beginners like me. It was the second pie I ever made alone aside from the cheesecake I made( if you consider it a pie). Well this came out amazing and to address a previous review, I highly suggest you bake it as mine didn't come out dry or with a thick skin( it helps give it some form so that it's not just oozing pudding). It is very easy to make and to all the ppl who say that it was too runny, did you make sure that it finished cooking before taking it out because it stays runny for most of the cooking process and eventually begins to custardize if you give it enough time. Well this came out great so i suggest it to all you young bakers who want to begin baking with something do-able. Like a reviewer before me also said, the bananas can also be interchanged with other fruits to give it different types of flavors.

Perfect Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I made this pie in my culinary class and it took me nearly half the day and made me skip a few classes. It was one of the hardest things fo a begginner like me to make, but I came through as some friendly girls in the class decided to help me finish it. It ended up coming out spectacular and it was shared among a large group of people. The girl who helped me in making it said she's tasted better but I thought it tasted absolutely delicious! I wouldn't recommend making it in Culinary class if you don't have any experience making it (since the recipe made it kind of tricky for me as I messed up the dough multiple times), but if you feel like baking something speacial this would be a good choice!

Apple Pike

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I love this recipe, it's quick and can use up common resources found around the house. I added my own little spin to the recipe though and added vanilla abstract, nutmeg, and lemon juice to my mixture. I also coated my pan with butter, melted it in the oven, and spread it around. After, I used brown sugar to do a coating over the butter. When the mixture went into my pan and was ready to be placed in the oven, I sprinkled it with cinnamon and brown sugar before letting it bake. it came out amazing and cooked in about 20 min. if there's anything I would change to my recipe, it's that I would add more apples. I added another half of the mixture to fill up my pan and STILL only used 2 apples which was not too bright on my part. Well either way it came out tasting wonderful and I hope I helped someone with this review
