Elnora's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Very easy and tasty. I used a 9 x 13 pan and cooked it for 35 minutes. Also sprinkled cinnamon on top for appearance and added nice flavor. I did not have self-rising flour so I added about 1 tsp baking powder to help it rise. The texture is great-not too hearty like an oatmeal cobbler or really thick, but nice and fluffy.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
This soup is AWESOME!! My hubby and I love this soup and it is now one of our favorites. The only thing we changed by accident was adding less liquid, which made it thicker and we liked it that way.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
I thought the flavor of this recipe was good (somewhat like shortbread) but I agree with some of the others that the cookies were very dry. I was hoping for soft cookies. I am also at a high altitude so I know that makes a difference too since I had to cook them longer for the cookies to actually leave their tight ball shape (about 14 minutes for me). They were good, but definately did not end up soft for me and I normally have no problem making my cookies end up soft when I am baking.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2004
This recipe was delicious!!! I did make some changes based on the comments of others. I substituted 1 C brown sugar for 1 C white, 1 C whole wheat flour for 1 C white flour, I added 1/2 tsp cloves, and increased the baking powder to 1 tsp. I also substituted maybe 1/4-1/3 C carrots for the zucchini (I drained both as best I could) and it added some nice color and tasted great. This recipe tastes very similar to the muffins served at Buster's in Flagstaff, AZ. I made half the recipe into a loaf of bread and the other half made 2 doz. muffins. I just made the full recipe Mon. and it was gone in 4 days and there is only 2 of us and friends who ate them. I just made another full batch 5 days later. Everyone who tried the muffins just loved them! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!!!

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2003
I love this recipe!! I am not a vegetarian, but ocasionally I like to have a vegetarian meal. This is super-convenient to bring to work and heat up there or eat at home when it seems like there is absolutely nothing to eat. I added some Mexican seasoning (cumin, garlic, red pepper, chili powder, oregano, etc.) and it spiced it up very nicely. I also added chopped up black olives. My freezer will never be "fully stocked" without some of these wraps inside! I let 3 other people have a wrap and they all loved it (even though they originally grumbled about the absense of meat)Thanks!

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: May 11, 2003
YUMMY! I marinaded chicken in this and used it for "Florentine Stuffed Chicken" and it was great! I also made some into a salad dressing, which turned out kind of green (this greatly disturbed my mother) but I still liked it. It is good as a salad dressing and a marinade, but between the two, I personally think it is tastier as a marinade. Thanks for the recipe!!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: May 11, 2003
This sauce is AWESOME! I doubled the garlic, added a tsp of dried basil and pureed muchrooms to put in too. It goes great with "Florentine Stuffed Chicken" (on allrecipes). I cooked the sauce in the crockpot from around lunch until dinnertime and it was super tasty (I am also a big crokpot fan). Thanks for the recipe!!!

Florentine Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: May 11, 2003
I almost forgot...I also marinated the chicken (boneless skinless chicken breasts) in Italian dressing overnight and it made the chicken so tender and moist you wouldn't believe it. VERY tasty. For those who didn't love this recipe, a few moderations with marinades and sauces makes it very gourmet and very tasty!
