Banana Bread

The best banana bread recipe I have found. I tweaked it slightly, I used brown sugar & white sugar. I used butter instead of shortening. I also added vanilla extract and I used an extra banana. Also added some white chocolate chips. Everyone loved it - it was gone the same day I made it. Very moist - I was surprised since it did not have any milk, water or egg. A definite keeper recipe!!!!

Pineapple Bread Pudding

Like several others, I changed it up a little. I used all of the butter called for, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup Splenda. I also added the pineapple with the juice along with 1/2 cup of milk. I added a few butterscotch morsels instead of the raisins. I would add toasted almonds on top also. I made a Splenda/Cinnamon blend to sprinkle on top. I took the foil off the last 5 minutes or so to brown slightly. Turned out great. Will definitely make again.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

This was a very good cake. I made a few adjustments - I used 1 stick of 'real butter' and two sticks of margarine. I also used 1 cup of real sugar and two cups of 'Splenda'. It was good, but I think next time - I will follow some of the other's advice to decrease the butter slightly and use buttermilk. I will also try the 'cold oven'. I agree that your ingredients need to be at room temperature for best results - I think mine were still a little too cold. Pound cakes aren't hard to make - but it's all about taking the time to mix it correctly with room temperature ingredients. I will update on my next one & let you know how the changes affect the overall result.

Chocolate Banana Bread

I cut the recipe in half and only made one loaf and used only one banana.. It was absolutely delicious.. The banana gave just the right amount of sweet taste without being 'banana over-powering'. The chocolate taste really came through. Very Moist!! We ate it as soon as it came out of the oven - didn't last more than 15 or 20 minutes. Will definitely make this recipe again.
