Delicious Easy Chicken Francese

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This was a delicious and simple recipe but I'm rating this based on my modifications which were: (as suggested by another) I cooked in a pan until golden around edges, flipped over and added the sauce ingredients EXCEPT the butter - allow to simmer until cooked. NOTE: I mixed the sauce ingredients together first and I doubled the cornstarch I also added sliced lemon to the pan. After the chicken is cooked through, I removed the chicken, add the butter and let that melt with the sauce, before pouring over the chicken on the plates. As also suggested, I added garlic powder to the flour. I didn't need to use all 4 eggs - 2 would have been good. I served with canned sliced potatoes baked in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes with melted butter, salt, pepper, paprika and parsley. Quick, easy and delicious!

French Toast I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I'm not sure how the flavor of the french toast on its own was because I served with country fried apples on top. The apples have such a strong flavor it's hard to tell. But overall, the dish was a hit! I also suggest using Pepperidge Farm Cinnamon bread!

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Excellent flavor and such an easy dip to make! I doubled the recipe and made a few modifications as suggested by others - used Greek yogurt instead of regular and I added cucumber, because I can't imagine tzatziki without it. For the cucumber, I bought a seedless cucumber (and it was huge) so I only cut up about 1/3 of it. The rest of it I sliced and put out for people to dip with. My only complaint is that I thought there was way too much pepper (though my boyfriend did not think so). Next time I'll cut the pepper in half for my own personal tastes.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made this for a NYE's party and everyone liked it. The reason I am giving it only 4 stars is that it was not as creamy and spreadable as I would have liked. I would probably add 25% more heavy cream and sour cream. Despite the dryness, it had great flavor!

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Made this for Thanksgiving yesterday. After reading many of the reviews, I decided to make some modifications before trying the recipe as it was written. - substituted condensed broccoli cheddar soup for the cream of celery. - substituted the Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns for frozen potatoes (used 1.5 x 20 oz packages) - sauteed the diced onion before adding to the mixture. - put a single layer of potatoes on the bottom of pan - mixed the remaining potatoes with all the other ingredients - added salt, pepper and southwest chipotle seasoning to the mixture It came out great. The only thing I would have done differently was mix the shredded cheese in with everything else instead of melting it on the top. Everyone was happy and it was a simple recipe to put together, even if the baking time is long.

Shrimp and Feta Cheese Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2003
I am not a cook at all. But I LOVED this recipe! I love shrimp, I love feta cheese and I love pasta. I used angel hair instead and next time I'll probably add black olives. I do agree that it could use more sauce. Next time, I'll try that too!!
