Cheesy Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2003
My husband and I LOVED this recipe! I'm usually open to new ideas, but he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. It was easy and very delicious. My husband thought we should try adding imitation crab next time.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
This was awesome! I am so picky about sauces and this was the best. My husband loved it. I might try a lower fat version next time with less butter and lowfat cream cheese. I did use nonfat milk and did add the nutmeg. I think I'll also add veggies next time. Fantastic!

Broccoli With Lemon Almond Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
This was good but not great. I thought it was a bit too lemon-y, even with less lemon juice, but my husband thought it was bland! I might make it again, but it's not something I'll crave.

Linda's Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
I made a half batch of these cookies in case we didn't care for them. I used the original recipe, thought I did find my dough quite wet so added more flour. The cookies baked for about 14-15 minutes and came out beautiful and full. They fell flat when they started to cool. Once fully cool, I bagged them, and they promptly fell apart. That said, they are delicious. I made them for a harvest crew, and though they were chunks rather than cookies, the men raved about them! Though I am disappointed they didn't stay together, I'd probably make them again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
I've made this several times - in fact, it's the only way I'll make a roast from now on! It's fabulous. Make sure you watch the internal temp of your roast so you don't overcook. Great leftovers too!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
We LOVED this, and will make it again. We did make some changes. We did not use tomato soup as we don't keep it on hand. We substituted Fiesta Nacho soup. We only baked it for about 6 minutes - just long enough to melt the cheese. And we added the chips to each plate after serving to keep them crisp. Wonderful!

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
I made this for dinner tonight - the ingredients sounded scrumptious! I didn't care for it, and either did my Brother-in-Law, though my husband had seconds. I likely won't make again. I made it as written.

Mother's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Pretty good comfort food - nice way to use my leftover ham. Even my 1.5 year old liked it! Something tells me it's going to be even better tomorrow for lunch...

Light Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
Very good. I had canned sweet potatoes so that's what I used. I also didn't have egg substitute, so I used 1 egg. We all liked it. Just as good as the full fat versions!

Autumn Spice Ham Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
We really liked this. We did as others suggested and did the ham first, then the apples, then combined them. It was so easy. Great for the season!

Spicy Tomato Bisque with Grilled Brie Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
We did not like this. We love rye and tomato bisque, so thought this would be a winner. We now know we don't like brie! Also, the soup tasted like a spiced tomatoe puree instead of a good bisque. I ended up doubling the cream cheese, which made it edible. I was so excited to try this recipe, so it was very disappointing.

Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
We really liked these. They are extremely easy. I used half sugar, half splenda, and used almond extract instead of vanilla (I just prefer it). They won't last long here.

Chocolate Chip Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
I made this 3x this week - I'm in LOVE with this recipe! I didn't have any problems with the chocolate chips - I just added them when the beeper called for them. I did add a splash of almond extract and a splash of orange extract. This bread is moist and addictive. A keeper!

Garlic Bread Fantastique

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
Wonderful. I was looking for a recipe we called "puff bread" at a restaurant I used to work at. This was not it, but it was fairly close. I didn't have a baguette, so used a high quality but regular bread. The bread wasn't substantial enough to hold the mixture and fell apart when eating, but who could mind when it tasted so good? I was shocked to find I didn't have sage, but we loved it anyway. I don't even think it needs the parmesan. We'll keep using this for comfort food. Thanks for sharing.

Scim's Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
It's unfortunate for my waistline that I have this recipe. I had mushrooms and cream and went in search of a good alfredo. I didn't have any shrimp, but did as others suggested and added garlic powder and capers. I am in heaven. My only problems are going to be making this too often and not being able to eat enough at one sitting. I did cook it a bit longer and felt the consistency I got was perfect. Thanks for this easy recipe that even my toddler enjoys.

Crispy Baked Oatmeal

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
Very good! I omitted the coconut and added a sprinkle of nutmeg just for personal taste. Will definitely make again. It's a great quick dinner (with fruit) when you don't have time to make dinner!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Oh. My. Gosh. I made these twice, as an easy dinner, as written (except for the syrup as I didn't have that much honey). We loved them. The third time, again as a dinner, I added about 2t orange extract and made the syrup. Fabulous. We've decided these are an easy dinner that most certainly don't need a desert! Leftovers are great the next morning (or for lunch).

We really looked forward to making these. We just didn't really care for them. We ate them, but wouldn't make them again. Thanks anyway - everyone else seems to love them!
