Chocolate Salami

This is awesome! I followed the directions but used vsop brandy because I could not find an inexpensive cognac I liked. It is soo pretty, a real "grown up" chocolatey confection! Very easy to make, I highly recommend this recipe!

Rainbow Cookies

This is a good recipe. There is another one called Italian wedding cookies II. They're not terribly different from one another. I have made both several times. You see a three layered cookie, covered in chocolate. Just how EASY did you think it was gonna be? You really have to have some serious hours logged baking before you take on something like this. It really isn't hard to do, you just have to be very patient, and realize that it takes about 24 hours to make properly. If your chocolate is crusty and dry, you scorched it. If the dough is too dry, try using the filling instead of the paste. My best advise? Read revues before starting!!

Candied Lemon Peel

DO NOT REMOVE THE SOFT WHITE PART!! No wonder your candy was bitter! The white soaks up lots of sugar, and is the best part in my opinion. Try using a thick-skinned citrus, as one reviewer suggests. It will come out much better!

Italian Wedding Cookies II

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
I love this recipe! So much fun to make! Everyone is always pretty impressed with them. I would advise keeping an eye on them in the oven, mine usually need a little less time than recomended. Also I highly recomend lining you pan with foil or parchment paper, I have no idea how you would get it out in one piece otherwise! Last but not least, as a few others I use the almond filling instead of paste, they always come out great!

Quick Sausage and Bell Pepper Calzones

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
turned out great! I used pizza dough instead, and flame-roasted my peppers beforehand on my gas burner. Just like a fried pepper and sausage sandwich!

Molasses Sugar Cookies

These turned out beautifully! My husband loves them! I added a tsp of vanilla, otherwise I wouldn't change a thing! Oh yeah, I took advise of one of the other reviewers and chopped up some candied ginger in them as well, perfect!
