Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I made this the other day, and it turned out pretty good!
I used 1 can Cream of Chicken and Mushroom, and 1 can Cream of Celery. (and 1 can of water, my chicken broth was past date )
I sprinkled a little garlic salt and pepper over the chicken (not fully defrosted) before adding the rest, and cooked on low for about 7 hours.
My husband added the biscuits while I was still at work, and thought a whole can was too much. I wasn't around to judge, but let me tell you 1/2 a can of biscuits was certainly NOT enough. I would use at least 1, maybe 2. Throw them in about 1 - 1.5 hours before serving
It could definitely use some peas or other veggies, though the celery in the cream of celery was pretty tasty ( and I hate celery) I will definitely make again with additional veggies! :3
