Sherry Sour Cream Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
I loved the combination of sherry and sour cream. I did add onion and mushrooms, and more sherry than in the recipe, but it was delicious. Served it with Carrot, tomato and spinach Quinoa Pilaf from this site.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
These are the best pancakes -- bought buttermilk for another recipe from this site (apricot muffins - delish) and wanted to find another recipe. They are very good and of course with the real deal maple syrup.

Apricot Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
I bought a large bag of apricots at Costco, then wasn't sure where to go with them - so -found this delicious recipe for muffins -- so easy and delicious. The apricots I bought were not dried at all, very moist, so I did not rehydrate them - and they were perfect. I, too will use this basic recipe for other fruits --

Eggplant Croquettes

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
I will not be making this recipe again. Very blah, needs some kind of sauce, should have thought of marinara I guess. Wish I had read the reviews first. And my family loves eggplant.

White Texas Sheet Cake

This was delicious. I love the taste of almond extract, so this was amazing. I will make this cake, along with the chocolate Texas sheet cake for my husband's family reunion. I am expecting about 50 - 75 people.

Chocolate Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
This was delicious! I wanted to try a "test" cake before I made it for my husband's family reunion this summer. Now, I think I'll have to make at least two of them! My family loved it.

I did not care for this recipe. A giant waste of time and beans.

Cranberry Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This was actually pretty good. I did cut the sugar by half, and it was still sweet enough, but tart also. My husband put some on a piece of cheesecake and said it was yummy.

Bordelaise Sauce with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
This sauce was delicious. Very unlike the bordelaise I had as a child but yummy nonetheless. I made it with pork tenderloin, which I cut into medallions and seared first. Out of this world.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

This was easy, tasty, and a bit hit. Next time I think I would use chicken tenders, and cook it for less time. Good recipe for working families.

I loved this. I added twice the amount of soup, added sherry, added more milk. It was simple, yummy and comforting.

Shrimp and Quinoa

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Like everyone else, we are trying to eat healthier. I followed this recipe exactly, and it was okay, but seemed to be missing something. My husband and I liked it, and added a dash of tamari sauce at the table. I will make it again, but jazz it up with more asparagus, and maybe some garlic or red pepper flakes as suggested by others.

Farfalle Special

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This was delicious. But anything with bacon and blue cheese has to be yummy. I did use a small can of petite cut tomatoes instead of tomato sauce because it was what I had on hand. Also had some shitake mushrooms, along with the button ones. I agree with another reviewer, that 18 oz of pasta is way too much, and I used probably 10 oz, not quite a whole box. Leftovers were delicious.

I reviewed these earlier, saying they were delicious. I brought them to another family picnic, and was surrounded by people as I brought them to the house. They were gone in no time flat.
