Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
We really enjoyed this recipe but had to go with a number of changes which were were mentioned earlier. I used less than 1/2 the salt called for and added garlic salt to the rub. I also have fresh sage in the yard so substitued this in but increased the amout to 3 tablespoons. I also carmalized some sweet onion to add to the simmering chops. I will probably swithch to canned broth next time since it was still a little too salty for me. Overall my wife and I liked it more than enough to continue to make.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2005
Thank you for a very good and easy roast recipe. I also used white wine instead of the vermouth. I added new red potatoes, baby carrots and a large handful of pearl onions during the last 1 1/2 hours and they came out well done, but that's how we like them. After reading about "not enough gravy" I increased the wine to 2/3 cup and added 1/2 soup can of water along with the whole package of Onion Soup Mix (easier then trying to figure out what 1/2 package means). Everyone enjoyed and all went back for seconds.

This instantly became one of our favorite warm weather meals. to a 1/2 recipe I simply added about 6 crumbuled bacon slices and a cup or so of sliced mushrooms and both wife and I simply loved it.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2004
We have been using this recipe for over a year now and we all just love the combination of fresh flavors. I will often add fresh Basil to add just a sprinkle of grated hard cheeses.

Green Beans with Bread Crumbs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2004
It's always hard to find ways to spice up a meal with vegetables but this did the trick. Used this during the holidays and everyone loved it. Had to print out multiple copies of recipe to hand out to guests. Looking forward to spring when I can try with my own fresh herbs.

Italian Portobello Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2003
Prepared for a vegetarian meal and wife and I both loved this. I also added the peppers to the mushrooms just to bring up to temp. Also added just a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar at the end. Great recipe Thanks.
