Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
Excellent recipe! I had to add some salt and crushed red pepper to the crock pot. Also sauted some onions and jalepenos then added the pulled pork and some nice spicy chipolte BBQ sauce....This was a great recipe, so easy and so good. I'll be making it for parties! Thanks for sharing it!

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
Good stuff. I made it with left over bar-b-Qued salmon (no barbee sauce on it). I added a 1/2 jalepeno pepper and a clove of garlic to the green & white onion combo.

Ronnetta's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
Yum. We made this all the time too! A good thing to serve with it is lightly and quickly sauteed vegies. In a frying pan just heat a little butter, salt and pepper, slice up some Zoo-k-nee or mushrooms or whatever you have and place them in the pan. Serve on the side of the spaghetti, or on top.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2003
I cut this in half and it turned out just great. I added less butter, i used corn meam and corn meal flour, an 8.5 oz can of creamed corn. I added pepperjack cheese in place of the monterey and i also added a few chopped pepperoncinis (seeds and all)in place of the green chillis. I was a bit timid to try this recipe because of the ingreedients but now I am VERY happy I tried it. This is a keeper.

Excellent pie. I added A LOT of extra pumpkin and a couple of extra eggs, also added a teaspoon of vanilla and some cloves. My friend thought it was too airy and light but I thought it was just right.

MMMMM!!! So good. I used butter instead of shortning (as I always do) and I used about a tablespoon extra of butter. They were delicious. Thank you John Pickett!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2003
This was the best pie crust I have ever made. I use BUTTER and not shortning. Cut the butter in and add the water but do NOT over-mix the dough....work the dough (or crust) until it comes togther, make it into a ball and then flatten it out like a thick pancake before you put it in the fridge. I make it this way all the time and I don't even need flour on my pin or surface!

Jiffy Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2003
This was so good! I added other bits of leftovers I had in the fridge like BBQ'ed bratworsts and veggies. We don't like potatoes too much here so we added less than called for. I like this recipe because you can use up all the small amounts of leftovers in one yummy dish.

Make topping first and then place it in the fridge or freezer while you make the batter. I used brown sugar for the topping in place of white sugar and also added a SMALL amount of chopped walnuts to the topping. Great cake.
