Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
This is a great recipe!! My whole family loved it and my husband said it was maybe the best refried beans he had ever had. The best part is that it is good for you. Definitely worth making.

I actually made these with a group of preschoolers and they were a big hit. I did some real rough measurments too and they turned out great. The kids loved them. Definitley worth making.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
My family loves this recipe, especially the kids. I do add more garlic powder to the crackers but other then that I don't make any changes. My kids wish I would make it more but all that butter makes it a once in awhile treat rather then a regular meal.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
I think that I finally perfected this recipe! I have made it several times for my family and we have enjoyed it but it was sort of bland and lacked something. So I kept tweaking it till I got a creamy pie, full of flavor. First, when I boil the veggies I add chicken bullion, 1tsp. Mrs.Dash, and 2tsp.salt. When I drain them I keep 2 cups of the liquid. To make the sauce I had 1/2 cup butter, cut the onion to 1/2 cup, dash of cayenne, generous amount black pepper, and minced garlic and the stock I set aside. Then I combine the veggies and sauce together before I add to my pie. It came out so creamy and tasty!!

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
I liked this recipe since I had a ton of fresh broccoli growing in my garden I needed to use. I did add garlic, shallots and milk. No fake cheese for us, only fresh cheddar. I made a cheese sauce like you might for au gratin potatoes and put panko crumbs on top. Tasty!
