I think that I finally perfected this recipe! I have made it several times for my family and we have enjoyed it but it was sort of bland and lacked something. So I kept tweaking it till I got a creamy pie, full of flavor. First, when I boil the veggies I add chicken bullion, 1tsp. Mrs.Dash, and 2tsp.salt. When I drain them I keep 2 cups of the liquid. To make the sauce I had 1/2 cup butter, cut the onion to 1/2 cup, dash of cayenne, generous amount black pepper, and minced garlic and the stock I set aside. Then I combine the veggies and sauce together before I add to my pie. It came out so creamy and tasty!!
