Creamy Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2014
Easy! Quick! Delicious! This is a keeper. I've made this a couple times. I've used both reduced fat cream of mushroom and regular. They both work fine. I've substituted whatever kind of mushroom I have on hand or on sale. Recipe is fine using less oil than listed. For a quick week night meal I serve it with our favorite instant mashed potato or instant mashed sweet potatoes.

Asian Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2014
Didn't have sesame seeds so I doubled the almonds and I toasted them first. I had 3 packs of ramen so I used them all and I added the seasoning pack when I was toasting the noodles in the butter. Used regular cabbage. Made it night ahead for a potluck next day. Delicious!

Caramel Frosting IV

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2014
This was a disaster. Turned out with a grainy texture and brown sugary lumps in it. I think the directions need more specifics on the temperature to melt the butter and boil the sugar. When I added the milk the mixture it was so hot I had steaming boiling milk splattering all over and nearly burned myself. I won't even mess with trying this recipe again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Fantastic. I've substituted the chocolate chips with other choc candies/white chips and they turn out great also. Sadly, I usually skip the nuts due to some picky eaters around here.

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Skipped the seasoning packet since I really enjoy the flavor of the salsa I use. Used chicken thighs instead of breast. Was very tender, flavorful. Using thighs made it a little more fatty/runny/juicy that it probably would have been with breast meat. Will make this again for sure!

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Amazeballs! Everyone loved this! I made this one day ahead of time and used Monterey Jack instead of cheddar and nuefchatel instead of cream cheese. Hidden Valley Ranch for the seasoning packet. No problems with too salty or tangy as reported by another reviewer.

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
For the love of all that is holy do not make this stuff. It is so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating it. I made mine according to recipe except I used fresh strawberries and fresh blueberries probably totalling about 5 cups. Its freakin' amazing. Seriously don't make this!

Milly's Oatmeal Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
I'd give this recipe10 stars if I could. I substituted butter flavored crisco for the butter and I used quick oats. For my add-ins I used half a bag of white chocolate chips and 1 tsp cinnamon. I baked for 20 minutes in a glass 9x13. I took these to work and they got rave reviews!

Peanut Butter Fudge IV

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I have never made fudge of any kind before. This was very simple to make. I made it exactly as directions indicated and it turned out with a smooth texture and solidified well. I really like the fact that this did not turn out unbearably sweet. I used natural peanut butter and I thinked that helped to give this really good peanut flavor.

Golden Wedding Punch

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
Served this at a birthday open house for my grandmother. People loved it. We did make some adjustments to the recipe. Instead of using cans of pineapple juice we used sweetened frozen pineapple concentrate and added the amount of water called for on the can. We also substituted approx half the water in the recipe with grapefruit soda.

Congo Bars I

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
I uped the butter to 1 cup, brown sugar to 2.5 cups, combo of m&m's and choc chips to make about a cup of chocolate pieces total. Also used 9x13 pan instead. still only cooked for 30 minutes so they are chewy and moist like brownies. This is a traditional recipe for my family, we used to make these all the time when I was a kid. They are fantastic and easy to make!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
This is good, moist, tasty zucchini bread. I followed the recipe exactly except I probably used a cup and a half more zucchini than it called for. I also did not grate the zucchini, instead I chopped it in a food processor so it was pretty finely chopped. I am not convinced this is the best zucchini bread I've ever had but it is good and I would have no problems serving this to others.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
This is great stuff and very easy. I made a batch a couple weeks ago and everyone at work loved it and asked for the recipe. I used popcorn popped on my stovetop. I used half the butter and baked it a little less than an hour. I baked mine in my roaster pan covered in aluminum foil for easy clean up.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
great! I chopped the apples very finely in my food processor and left the peels on, double the cloves (because I love that flavor) used only 3 cups of sugar, and left in the crockpot for two or three days. Its great on vanilla ice cream! Especially when its still warm!
