Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
Followed the recipe exactly and it was delish. We had an overabundance of peaches from the neighbor. They weren't very good to just eat. I made this twice and it was eaten up quickly.

American Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
Very good. I changed the veggies around a little bit. Sauted some onions, carrots, mushrooms and some minced garlic first. Then added back in after ground beef was cooked. I used Cream of mushroom soup because I had that on hand already. It got rave reviews from my hubby and my father.

Outstanding Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
The chicken was way too dry. Cooking it twice doesn't make much sense. Sauce was alright but too thick. I think I'll stick to my alfredo recipe and add the mushrooms and artichokes to it.

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
The crunchy coating is deeeeelish... A little bit spicy (but not hot) and much better than my boring flour, salt and pepper -old- version.

This recipe is yummy. It tastes just like something you'd find at a nice Italian Restaurant.

Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 21, 2004
I just about had my own heart attack when I saw much butter was in this. So, I decided to experiment. I sauteed the onions in a bit of olive oil. I used full fat sour cream because sometimes the low fat stuff curdles when cooked. I used fat free mushroom soup and only used 1/2 stick butter on the corn flakes. I also added some turkey ham to make it a main dish. This was really good and everything I was expecting. Thanks for the basis to a new family favorite!

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
Excellent crust. I was much better than another one I had tried from this site. The bread machine does all the hard work. I'm using it again tonight.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
Very good and sooooo easy! I set the kids to work on unwrapping all the kisses and then they pushed them into the finished cookies. This was a great cooking project for my 6 yr. olds.

Tropical Lime Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2004
I'm not a big fan of lime anything. I didn't really like the lime flavor. However, the cake is very moist and I will try it again with other flavors. I made the glaze a little thicker after I poured some of it on the cake. This stayed on top for a little frosting and my kids ate it up.

Farina Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2004
These bars are a good way to use Cream of Wheat. The recipe was modified to say 1/3 cup honey and I used cinnamon instead of cardamom ( I didn't have any). These taste very good and are more healthy for the kids.

Rich Cocoa Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2003
I didn't like this recipe at all. If you are expecting traditional fudge, this is not it. It's more like almond bark. It's not fluffy and sweet.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2003
This is really good bread. Anyone used to sandwich wheat bread will think this is too dense. However!! This is so much better for you. The first time I made this I used my Whole Wheat setting. It made the crust way too dark. If you like a light crust use the light white setting. This is definitely going to be my new bread recipe.

Pear Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2003
My family really liked this pie. I did as others and replaced the white sugar with brown and used half almond flavoring and vanilla. Good way to use pears that are getting too ripe.

This was awesome. There was no talking at the dinner table tonight. Only chewing. I will definitely be making this again. I made it exactly as it appeared.
