Baked Tortilla Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I have been making home made tortilla chips in the oven for over 25 years, they taste great and are more healthy than cooking in all that oil. I spray mine with pam, then sprinkle with salt, garlic powder and a little paprika then bake.

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I have been making this recipe for several years, and we love it. The only thing I do different is I peel the potatoes, because my husband does not like potato peels. (When I bake a potato, I eat the peel, he does not) I have made this using red potatoes, russet potatoes, and Yukon Gold. they all taste wonderful. it is the sour cream that makes the difference.

Campbell's Kitchen Chicken Broccoli Divan

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
I have been making this for years, it is a great way to use up left over chicken or turkey, but I only use frozen broccoli, I usually double the recipe and then the next day have it as leftovers with a salad. Great.

Granny's Homemade Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
I make these quite often, I have a noodle cutter, it rolls over the dough and cuts it into 5 strips about 1/2 inch wide. I too double boil the noodles, first in water to take out the cloudiness, and then they go into either chicken or beef broth. Or sometimes if I am making chicken with vegetables, instead of making dumplings I will put in the noodles, and these I do not double boil.

Have made these several times and they always turn out great. BTW mzflorida said "the recipe should not have egg whites." Nowhere in the recipe do I see egg whites, just "3 eggs" Nicki

I made this and we loved it, the only thing I left out was the mushrooms, as my husband does not like them, but did everything else as directed, and it was great.

Authentic Elvis Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2012
one person said they gave this 4 stars, Did she actually try it? she said gave 4 stars because I did not use all the ingredients listed. In place of the pickle, lettuce and tomato we had sauteed mushroom, onion and peppers. I also added some fried banana. Left out the sugar and salt and pepper and substituted american for the cheddar cheese

Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
This turns out pretty good, I use the stick blender. the only problem I have is it is not very thick. How do you get it thicker? I have tried using less oil, 1 1/2 cups insteaad of 2 and I have also tried using 3 eggs instead of 2 but still it is on the thin side. Even so it is very good and I now do not buy mayonaise at all.

The Best Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
It turned out pretty good. I did not bother to make a paste out of the mayo, cheese and garlic powder. I just spread some butter on the bread then some mayo, then sprinkled the parmesan cheese and garlic powder, then popped it into my toaster oven for a minute or two until it got bubbly.

Cracker Candy

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
I have been making this candy for about 25 years. I use brown sugar, saltine crackers, and I use margarine.(not butter) and it turns out great. I line the cookie sheet with foil, and spray with cooking spray. It is a really fun to watch the crackers "bounce around" on the cookie sheet while they are baking. This is a great recipe, and with ingredients that people usually have on hand.
