Banana Nut Bread II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
Absolutely awesome!!! However I did have to substitute some things, due to me not having the proper ingredients on hand (my stupidity - thought I had the proper ingredients). I used water instead of milk; 3 large over-ripe bananas (mashed), instead of 2/3 cup; and used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose. When cooking the above, I used the full bread setting (Basic, Bake 3:20). With my machine I should have increased the time by 20 minutes; that way I wouldn't have had the doughy core (approx 2 1/2 inches). Still, it does taste incredible! You can substitute honey instead of the sugar (same measurements) that way it will have a cleaner, more natural taste. I left the walnuts out - I'm nuts enough! :-)

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
This came out absolutely beautiful! I had most of the ingredients, except pepper; so I substituted it for Montreal Steak Spice (scythe I think is the actual name) and used the same amount. It does have a bite to it, but then again I like my food like that.

Slow Cooker Western Omelet

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Was a little hesitant to try this, where eggs and milk were involved; especially when it took a while to cook it. However the results were delicious! Absolutely delicious!!! The only change I did was instead of using salt and pepper, I used Italian seasoning; and the results are out of this world! This recipe is a keeper!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
This is truly delicious, and will be used by me for a long time. If you can just have one piece - I feel sorry for you. :) In my family this turkey has the 'some more' taste. "I'm going to have some more!"

Mardi Gras King Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
This is sensational! Wonderful flavors and authentic as you can get! Was a big hit with friends. One lady, who lived in New Orleans, says this brought back good memories of Mardi Gras. And yes, I did keep one cake for myself. :)

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I prepared this recipe as directed, and it came out fantastic! The only thing missing was the Dream Whip. This dessert also has the 'some more' taste. When you finish the first piece, you will want some more! You have been warned! :)
