About this Cook
Have helped in the kitchen since I can remember. Finally decided to roll up my sleeves and give it a try, where I live on my own. Results have been promising; and anyone who has sampled my cooking truly enjoy it. The only problem with cooking is that you literally eat your mistakes. The plus side is that no one knows about your mistakes where you eat them. :)

Bread. Bread maker works wonders!
My cooking triumphs
Trying new recipes all the time. After each success, it gives me more confidence to keep on cooking.
My cooking tragedies
Frying johnny cakes in a fry pan. Had the heat too high, used olive oil, fog ensued (or smoke - depending how you see it), and smoke detector told the truth. Oh well; won't do that again!

Banana Nut Bread II
Absolutely awesome!!! However I did have to substitute some things, due to me not having the proper ingredients on hand (my stupidity - thought I had the proper ingredients). I used water instead of milk; 3 large over-ripe bananas (mashed), instead of 2/3 cup; and used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose. When cooking the above, I used the full bread setting (Basic, Bake 3:20). With my machine I should have increased the time by 20 minutes; that way I wouldn't have had the doughy core (approx 2 1/2 inches). Still, it does taste incredible! You can substitute honey instead of the sugar (same measurements) that way it will have a cleaner, more natural taste. I left the walnuts out - I'm nuts enough! :-)

Slow Cooker Baked Beans
This came out absolutely beautiful! I had most of the ingredients, except pepper; so I substituted it for Montreal Steak Spice (scythe I think is the actual name) and used the same amount. It does have a bite to it, but then again I like my food like that.

Slow Cooker Western Omelet
Was a little hesitant to try this, where eggs and milk were involved; especially when it took a while to cook it. However the results were delicious! Absolutely delicious!!! The only change I did was instead of using salt and pepper, I used Italian seasoning; and the results are out of this world! This recipe is a keeper!
