Cheesy Bean Nachos

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
This was easy but I thought it was a little dry. My family thought they were okay and they are easy for kids to make which is nice but I personally didn't care for them.

The Easiest Chocolate Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I was a little disappointed in this cake. It was bland, the peanut butter chips dried out over top the cake and I ended up having to frost this because of the lack of flavor. It wasn't the worst cake I've ever made but I don't think I would make this again.

Creamy Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
This cake had a nice flavor to it but it wasn't what I was expecting. I made this in a bundt pan and it came out nicely. The frosting came out wrong for me but that was my fault. This is a nice jello cake.

Classic Cuban Midnight (Medianoche) Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I also made these for the AFC Championship game and they were very nice. I used sweet pickles instead of dill and I loved it that way. My guests enjoyed them as well! Go Pittsburgh!

Muffuletta Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I made these for the AFC Championship game and they were excellent. I did add a little Italian dressing to the olive mix only because I always do that. They had such a nice flavor! Go Pittsburgh!

Beefy Harvest Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This was a good soup. I diced up leftover salsbury steak and put it into the soup in place of the ground beef. I used chorizo sausage because I didn't have the other kind on hand. My family liked it.

Spaghetti in Olive Oil and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This went great with the chicken I made tonight. I did add 2 T of butter and a squirt of lemon juice for added flavor. This is a quick easy dish to make.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
I liked these. I had a bunch of ground beef to use up so I subsituted milk for the egg, made the patties and froze them. I made them a few days ago and they came out wonderful. I used whole fresh mushrooms and it was pretty classy for a ground beef dish! LOL!! The gravy was very good and could stand on its own if need be.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
The flavor of these pork chops was great but I did find they were dry, even though I added 1 cup of chicken broth to the slow cooker. Whoever came up with the idea to use honey was right on. It goes nice with the pork.

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This is a very good recipe for chicken. Goes nice with pasta. I used boneless chicken breasts so I cooked it the same amount of time, but changed the temp. to 350 degrees. The chicken was juicy.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This is a very good basic recipe. The pancakes are moderately fluffy without being too light or too doughy! They didn't last in my house.

Chicken Valdostano

So delicious. I made this tonight and actually had seconds. I did top it with a little of Emeril's Roasted Gahlic Tomato Sauce and a dash of Balsamic vinegar. Just layers of goodness!!!

White Castle Turkey Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
This was a unique twist on stuffing. The reason I only gave it a four is because I have to buy frozen White Castle burgers where I am and it is like $5.00 for 6 of them which is too expensive for me. It was great to try though and I will keep it in mind when I want to give me guests something different.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
This was a very nice, simple recipe. Like other reviewers suggested this would probably be best as an add in to another dish but I had no problem with it on it's own either. I may try to make this in the crockpot with a little chicken broth next time.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich in the Broiler

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
My daughter made these as a late night snack for us and it was a nice twist on the original. Just watch cuz the PB does get a little runny and hot. It is great that way though.

Tuscan Style Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I am not normally a bean soup person, my family is, but not me. Well....this smelled and looked so good when I was makikng it that I had to try some. What a nice recipe! It is wonderful and healthy and great tasting. I cheated and used canned, drained kidney beans but otherwise followed everything to a T!

Spaghetti Ole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
This was pretty good. Homemade chili is always better than canned, but this is really good when you are pressed for time. I made cornbread with this and it went great together. I did use two cans of chili because I like it saucier.
