To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
These muffins are tricky to get the topping just right, when they do turn out they are great, i'd add more berries and cut down the topping mount so they arent soggy on top and dont over mix or they will be very flat

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
These are unbelievably good! I thought it would be more work but they were cleaned assembled and filled and in the oven in 10min. My only recomendation is not to use very large mushrooms or the filling is too much, bite size is better and i did add the crab meat glad i did perfect

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
This chicken is sooo easy, my husband askes for it all the time now and I make it almost weekly, just toss in some vegitables to your pan and you have a full simple and quick meal. I leave uncovered the first 15mi to crisp the skin and cover the rest so it stays juicy and the juices cook into the vegitables making it amazing

Premier Cheesecake Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
Love these! Made recipe as is and only followed suggestions of melting butter first and it was great as is. I would say I agree with lots of the reviews that next time i will probably use shaved chocolate and add more cranberry and cream cheese mix but they were great as is also.

Stupid Simple Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
As says, very simple and although this chicken was bland without any seasonings I did find the lemon helped with moisture and the lemon in the drippings made for great gravy. While i will stick to my other recipes I now add the lemon to all my baked chicken and turkeys

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
They are okay, just don't add too much salt or oil to them or they are terrible. My husband and I eat them as they are healthy and not bad if you go light on the oil and salt but they are certainly not something my kids would eat. all and all they are not bad.

Maple Walnut Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
This pie turned out very good, a nice change from plain old pumpkin pie. My kids loved the grahm crust but didn't care for the nuts, my husband and i loved it. It is rather sweet and rich in comparison to traditional pumkin, so I now make it with evaporated milk instead of the sweet and condensed and I do not add sugar to the grahm crackers when making crust

Cranberry Streusel Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
This recipe turned out beautifully, but even with the extra sugar was extremely tart, love the topping though. Next time I will add apples to the filling and maybe oatmeal to the topping to balance out the flavor

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
This recipe is very simple, and I love the crisp texture of the crust. It is a very bland pie though I tried it 2nd time using the recommendations of others to add cinnamon and spices and to add some of the syrup to the filling before top crust turned out much better the second time

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
This recipe while it was okay as long as you put ice cream on top, it was sooo much better the 2nd time with a little work, I doubled the filling recipe and only put crumb mixture on top as it had way too much crust, added a little extra sugar or splenda to fruit so it would taste good by itself w/out having to cover in ice cream, I would also recommend fresh fruit and at least 6-8 cups, the frozen has too much juice and is alredy more mushy to start with and definetly bake it the full amount of time so top doesn't get soggy after the first day

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
love these! I made the recipe as is first time and they were good, the second time I used others suggestions and swapped the oil for applesauce, egg for whites, sugar for splenda, added cinnamon, and used half wheat flour...they were amazing actually way better flavor and moisture than the first try. I like them with craisins and walnuts best but are good w raisins as well

Cod with Italian Crumb Topping

liked the flavor of the fish, but thought the crumb mixture was a bit much, i would cut it in half next time and use the other's suggestions of swapping some of the coating and egg whites

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Definetly lives up to the name, made this as is first time and was amazing but only making one loaf it lasted 2 seconds in my house. Since then I have modified the recipe to my personal preferences using 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 splenda, egg whites instead of whole eggs and applesauce instead of oil which not only makes it healthier but extra moist and flavorfull, i add cinnamon and vanilla, and we like enlish walnuts in place of pecans for this particular recipe, the buttermilk is what makes this recipe stand out from the rest which i also use fat free buttermilk.
