Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
we love this recipe, my husband requests it often! We do make slight changes per our taste: we use 4 bags frozen peaches bc we like plenty of fruit in our cobbler and we use more cinnamon and nutmeg. we scoop on vanilla ice cream and its a hit

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
This is a great recipe, not my favorite mind you but a good one to mix in and occasionally so we aren't always using the same roasted chicken recipe. We used a 6lb chicken so all I did was set the oven to 375 and kept everything else the same. The seasoning with the lemon was nice, we put our used lemons inside the chicken as we always put a lemon or 2 in all our chicken and turkeys when we bake them, and everyone liked it...especially the gravy made from the lemony seasoned juices!

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2013
We did not like this soup. I have made it twice and even my husband whom loves cabbage soups hated it too bland, not enough veggies, and not much nutritinal value except the tomatoes especially if you use canned veggies. We are a family of soup lovers but overall this was just not one of our things and noone lost any weight after being forced to eat it for several days disappointed

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2013
This soup is absolutely wonderful, just as good as a restaurants. The only thing I change bc it's alittle bland for us is to use 2qts of pure tomatoe juice instead of the sauce and water (healthier and less sugar) double the garlic and add more seasoning per taste but otherwise great soup I also add either a few chopped up tomatoes or a can of diced tomatoes and often 2 cans beans makes it just that touch more rich and hearty as we don't like watery soup

Perfect Pita Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
These turned out great the only reason not 5 stars is because I left out the garlic salt origionally specified and they were still soooo salty. Second time I cut salt in half and LIGHTLY covered in the garlic powder and they were perfect. We use the whole grain flax pita its soo good and we have played with seasonings and they always come out great but we like them plain the best. Great with spin dip or hummus drizzled w/evoo

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
This recipe is so simple and soooo good! My family loves their spin dip so it's the first thing we order when dining out for our appetizer....well not anymore we will probably be making this weekly! It also makes a large enough amount for entertaining and goes great with the "Perfect Pita Chips" recipe on this site. I followed this recipe except for following suggestions to add just a little chicken broth to make it smooth and creamy which also helps it from getting thick when reheating. Hope you all enjoy this we sure did

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
This is a definite 5 star recipe after following other's recommendations that is. Chicken broth, 2 tsp cumin, 2tsp tumeric, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp salt, and along with the cayenne add 1 can tomatoes w/chilis. I also added some green onions just because we had them and it really added to the color and appearance. On it's own this recipe is ok just very bland

Stuffed Peppers My Way

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
This is a great stuffed pepper recipe roasting the peppers ahead of time makes them amazing, only 4 stars cuz I like a little tomatoe flavor in my peppers so we add some tomatoes or a can of paste or sauce to give it the richness and added some parmesann on top and it was perfect. With these additions it was a definite 5 stars!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
Sooo good! Something my kids and husband will eat. I followed other recommendations, also doubled the shrimp and mushrooms, added a little wine and lemon juice because we like a little stronger flavor and everyone was pigging out in complete silence all through dinner!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 28, 2013
This is quite a good yet simple recipe. Mild yet nice flavor. If you are looking for a rich overly flavored pork chop you'll want to add to it however for a fail safe, easy, quick, and delightful dish it's perfect

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
not bad but kinda plain, quite a light healthy recipe but you may want to make extra marinade to cook down and use as a dipping sauce or use some other dipping sauce I followed others suggestions and made the stronger marinade lots of extra lime ect but still not much flavor to it. All in all it was ok but needs a little flavor

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
I prefer the Chicken Cajun Pasta recipe on here. You can change to shrimp or anything and it's identical to the restaurant style - so rich and good. This recipe was different but the seasoning herbs made it weird tasting, and i had to add alot more cream to get it to not be too dry and thick.

Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
This recipe was pretty great but not the best I've ever had. Needed a little work second time around less cheese, less salt(there is more than enough in the sauce and cheeses), more sauce, don't add oil it's already greesy enough from pre cooking in oil and all the cheese and 4cups panko crumbs way way too much tons left over and I made 5 very large breasts out of it. Turned out great second time and not so rich we couldn't finish it

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
Not a horrible recipe but not good either. I make salmon all the time usually w/ lemon pepper or sweat tangy recipes so I knew not to bake for 45 min which would ruin the fish, always bake salmon at 400 for 20 min exactly unless using steaks instead of filets. This recipe was not very flavorful and just kind of bleh, the oil is useless as would have been better w a tsp of butter instead and the only thing you taste is the garlic. won't use again

Buttermilk Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
blah blah bland, this recipe is plain, i tried it 3 times adding things for flavor cinnamon, applesauce, cardamom, ginger, nuts, vanilla, almond extract, honey...still just so plain, the only way we can get them down is to load them with honey butter

Roast Beef and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
Not bad, liked the simplicity but it needed help to make it a 5 star for me. Added fresh chopped mushrooms, onions, rosemary, thyme, lots of pepper, and worshesterchire to add flavor, also cooked some vegitables right in the crock second time around was good

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Definetly lives up to the name, made this as is first time and was amazing but only making one loaf it lasted 2 seconds in my house. Since then I have modified the recipe to my personal preferences using 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 splenda, egg whites instead of whole eggs and applesauce instead of oil which not only makes it healthier but extra moist and flavorfull, i add cinnamon and vanilla, and we like enlish walnuts in place of pecans for this particular recipe, the buttermilk is what makes this recipe stand out from the rest which i also use fat free buttermilk.

Cod with Italian Crumb Topping

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
liked the flavor of the fish, but thought the crumb mixture was a bit much, i would cut it in half next time and use the other's suggestions of swapping some of the coating and egg whites
