Quick Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2005
I've tried a lot of chicken marsala recipes as it is one of my favorite dishes. This recipe is very good and different in that the soup makes a really thick and rich sauce. I added mushrooms and onions. If you want a quick chicken marsala, try this one!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
We didn't care for this recipe. I especially did not like the cream cheese in it. The cubes never melted all the way and there ended up being just globs of it all over the toast and made it very mushy. The cream cheese did nothing for this dish, and I think it would have been much better without it. I did like the blueberry sauce, but ended up throwing out all the toast, so had nothing to eat it with!

Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
This pumpkin bread was good, but not the best. I've made tastier loaves. I think I prefer fresh cranberries over the dried ones used in this recipe.

I made this for Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. Even those who would not normally eat cranberry sauce thought it was delicious. This recipe is a keeper!

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
This was a great, quick meal. I doubled the sauce so there would be enough to spoon some over the rice. I used rice wine vinegar, and also added some sliced onion. Would definitely make this again.

Chocolate Caramel Nut Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2004
Move over Cheesecake Factory! This cheesecake is sinfully rich. I drizzled caramel topping and hot fudge sauce on top, and topped with whipped cream to make it an over the top dessert! I made it for my husband for Father's Day and he loved it.

Yum! I really loved this. Great comfort food. I added fresh chopped onion, garlic, and parsley. I mixed the elbows in with the sauce. Will definitely make again.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
Very good, but only right out of the oven. As it sits the "crunchy" topping turns to mush!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This was good, but needed some adjustments. Cornstarch needs to be doubled in this recipe and I baked mine at 375 for 30 minutes. 425 would defineitely have burned the topping before it cooked through. I also added a bit of vanilla to the peach mixture.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Incredibly easy and really good. Uses ingredients I usually have on hand. Great served with rice to soak up some of the sauce.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2005
I thought this bread was awful. The strawberries turn to mush when baked, therefore making the bread around them mushy. The bread has way to much oil in it too. Before I even made this, I couldn't see how it would turn out any good, given the combination of ingredients. But decided to try it as it looked quick and easy to throw together and I had all the ingredients on hand. I should have trusted my instincts.

Adam's Dirt Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2004
These cookies were pretty good. I made some with the crused Oreos and some with chunks of Oreo and definitely like the chunks better. They were tastier and much thicker than those with only the crushed Oreos. My cookies turned out really soft.

These were great! Tasted like a lemon cheesecake. These did not last long in our house. Great topped with fresh whipped cream!

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
Great taste, but definitely needs more sauce as the garlic started to burn on the bottom of the slow cooker. I had to add more chicken stock halfway through.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2005
Like others said, these were a complete flop. They totally spread out paper thin in the oven so there was absolutley no criss-cross pattern to be seen. They were sticky and bottoms were beginning to burn before they were done. What a disappointment.
