Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

I made this cake along with another cream cheese icing recipe from This cake had a wonderful flavor and texture! It was bakery-worthy for sure! The only thing I did differently was that I bought shredded badged carrots and then put them in the food processor to chop them up (I didn't want shreds of carrots in the cake and I didn't want them puréed either). It was a big hit. I baked it as a double-layer round with icing in the middle too.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

I used brown sugar and low sodium soy sauce. This sauce tasted so good, but I just couldn't get it to stick to the chicken enough. I did reduce it down and also used corn starch. I will try this again and see if I can get it to stick better. I used chicken breasts.

Grilled Chicken with Herbs

The picky eaters in our house like this chicken. Most reviews say the balsamic vinegar is too strong. I followed the recipe and used 4 chicken breasts the first time I made it and used 6 the next time I made it. We marinated both times for an hour and a half. The longer you marinade the chicken, the stronger the taste will be. We did not experience a strong vinegar taste (even though it smelled pretty strong in the blender!) I wouldnt follow the same recipe on less than 4 chicken breasts; I think the vinegar taste would be stronger that way. All in all, if my 9-year-old will eat it, it's now in my "recipes to use again". They really liked it. It's a really healthy dinner and to me, that's a win. We are really making an effort to stay away from processed foods and foods with chemicals. This helps us do that.

Jeff's Hot Dog Chili

This really is one of the better hot dog chili recipes I've found. It's simple, quick and great to freeze the leftovers. I usually freeze half and thaw it out next time it's needed. Thanks!

I wouldn't change a thing! I don't understand some of the comments from others regarding changes. Made this for the first time yesterday. Family loved it! The recipe is going into my keep stack. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!!
