Grinch Kabobs

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
I am the recipe submitter and I just wanted to add a side note since there has been a few questions on how to keep the banana slices from browning. Use fruit juice there are several fruit juices that can work to prevent discoloration of sliced bananas. If you're worried about the flavor changing, stick to the sweeter, lighter flavors: Lemon juice Orange juice Tinned pineapple juice Tinned or fresh grapefruit juice Lime juice Apple juice Ascorbic acid powder(aka vitamin C) or if you're in a pinch, a ground-up vitamin C tablet works as well.

I am the recipe submitter and I just wanted to clarify since there are so many reviews say they dont taste like pizza. These were named by my then 5 yr old daughter that is the only reason they are named "pizza pork chops". I would also like to thank everyone who has tried them for the great reviews. I'm glad you liked them. For those of you who will try them in the future. I hope you like them and will come back and leave a great review. Thanks Again!

Pickled Hot Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
I made these back in August/ September but just opened the first jar. Since when I make dill pickles they are supposed to be stored for a min. of 8 weeks I figured to get the full flavor out of these I would do the same. They were definately worth the wait. I gave a jar to a friend of mine last week and she has already requested a 2nd jar b/c they are so good. Thanks for this great recipe.

Chef John's Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
This recipe was a hit with both me and my guests! I loved the fact I could make it a couple of days ahead of time and save the space on the stove. Like others said it is a little time consuming but having it done and out of the way was worth it. I made it exactly as written except in place of the cayenne pepper I used 1/4 tsp bhut jolokia powder which gave the gravy an unusually nice spicy taste. I ended up with a qt of gravy. Thanks Chef John I will be using this recipe again in the future!
