Breakfast Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
Wonderful! I made this for a Thanksgiving breakfast for 12. It got rave reviews from my family, and everyone agreed that this was so much better than the ones made with bread. My sister can't have gluten so this was originally why I chose this recipe, but now it's my go-to breakfast for company.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
These were pretty, but had a very mushy, off-putting texture. I even made the cake and frosting from scratch because I don't like the store-bought taste. I'm glad I tried these, but I would much rather have a traditional piece of cake.

Easy Rum Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Delicious! I used butter cake mix and added 1 tsp vanilla to the glaze, other than that I followed exactly. I'm making in mini bundt pans for Christmas gifts and I know my family will go crazy over these.

Lemon Cloud Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2005
I did not like this at all. I could definitely taste all the cornstarch, and the lemon and cream cheese flavors were way too subtle. I was making this for my inlaws, but ended up throwing the whole thing out.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2005
Yum! I used reduced fat crescent rolls and reduced fat cream cheese and it was still very good and rich. What an easy, convenient recipe.

Easy Garlic Ginger Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
I made a couple changes, and the result was as good as any chicken I've gotten at a restarant. I omitted the lime because it just didn't sound good, and just used sesame oil (for more asian flavor) chopped garlic, chopped ginger, and some ground peppercorn. Very, very good. Smelled so wonderful while cooking. Make sure to use either fresh ginger or use the chopped ginger in a jar- it will stay fresh in the fridge for a long time.

'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2005
What a wonderful last minute dressing! I had dinner all ready to go, my salad made, and I looked in the fridge and found no dressing I could eat on my new low-carb diet, lol. I made this in about 1 min. and it was perfect. Thank you! I think I will begin using this recipe a lot more instead of buying pre-made dressing.

Mom's Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
This is wonderful! So much better than frosting made with confectioner's sugar. It tastes like a light, sweetened whipped cream frosting. I made this with all butter and no shortening and I really like the results. Thanks!

Easy Vanilla Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
This is a decent cookie for being so low in fat, but I had high hopes for this and I did not really care for the way they turned out. Way, way too sweet and I didn't even use the powedered sugar. I think I will try a cake box cookie again in a different flavor, maybe use butter or oil instead of cool whip. Thanks though.

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
Good, but this could be really great with some changes. I used low-fat cream cheese and sour cream, and a slight bit of mayo to cut down the fat and richness. I strongly recommend buying fresh crab, or imitation crab is great also. Canned crab will not give you that nice crab flavor or texture. Fresh parmesan cheese is also a must. I usually buy a wedge and grate it myself. It only takes a few minutes and the final result will be worth it.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
Yum, I really liked this on some cupcakes I made. I cut the sugar in half and it ended up being perfect without tasting too sweet. The shortening gave it a nice consistency, but next time I think I will try using a little less shortening and a little more margarine. Good vanilla flavor. Thanks!

Brownie Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
This is very good, you cannot tell it's low in fat! My only change is that I use butter instead of shortening. I have been making this lately whenever I get chocolote cravings because it's so much healthier than regular brownies, yet there's still that rich chocolatey taste. And it's not too sweet either.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
I rolled half of the cookies in a mixture of 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and made snickerdoodles. I followed the recipe for the rest of the cookies and they were very good and flavorful.

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
This was so flavorful and good! It's my favorite way to marinade fish. I sauted the fish instead of grilling and it was excellent.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
I thought this was pretty good. I'm trying to re-create what I get at Red Lobster and this was close, although next time I will use half olive oil, half margarine.
