About this Cook
I was born in Logan County WVa. I was the only female among three brothers. I Married my husband Lloyd at the ripe old age of 16, in Va. Oct. 1970. Our son Boe was born Oct 13, 1971 and our daughter was born Oct 12, 1973. We moved around quite often because hubby was in the army. I cooked a lot growing up with my family, I had to serve three meals everyday. There was no such thing as going to McDonalds or Wendy's. We were poor and ate at home. I did a lot of sewing. We always do our own home decorating. In the past, we have lived in Kentucky, Georgia, Germany, Tennessee and WVa. Now we have settled down in a great small town in Pa. This is home. We just remodeled my tiny kitchen so I have a great big area to cook in. I have all new appliances and cabinetry. I'll have to share a photo.
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti, any fattening desserts, country cooking, vegetable soup, Pastas, Fudge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every holiday I cook at my own house. My daughter invites anyone she can to the feast and we enjoy it. All Summer we have many Bar-b-ques at our home around our swimming pool.
My cooking triumphs
Peanut Butter Fudge! I tried for many, many ,many years to cook good fudge but it was awful, the entire house would empty out if I announced I was going to fix some fudge. I have finally got a great no fail recipe. I also like my vegetable soup.
My cooking tragedies
Fudge, Fudge and more fudge! I once made a mistake and used dishsoap in my biscuit dough thinking it was squeeze margerine. Needless to say ruined them.

Spaghetti Sauce III
This is a great recipe. I added some green peppers. Make sure to use garlic powder and not garlic salt...I didn't have reg. powder and used garlic salt and it was too salty so I added a bit of sugar. It was still good. I plan on using this recipe everytime I have spaghetti instead of store bought jars.
