Pork Butt Roast with Vegetables

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
This was great and simple. I made about a 3 lb roast with 4 potatoes, 1 onion and 5 carrots. I used 2 chicken boullion cubes with a couple cups of water. I sprinkled the vegetables with my home made steak seasoning for an extra flavor because we eat strong flavorful food - as others recommended to add a bit more herbs. It turned out very tastey and everyone ate it up! Thanks.

These were the best crab cakes I have ever made! I had to used saltine crackers instead of the buttery crackers because thats just what I had. They browned up beautifully and tasted great!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
Turned out to be very thick, thicker than bobili when I shaped into a 12" pizza. Next time I will make larger. The crust had great texture.

Pasta with Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I am rating this a 3 star because it was just ok to me. I made it as written, fed my 3 little boys, they ate it, I had a little dish of it and was unsatisfied, so I doctored it up a bit before my husband got home from work. I followed another reviewer and added a little caraway and a little thyme. I also added a little more dijon and a spoonful of the pasta water to add some extra moisture/sauce.

Hoppin' John

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I used chicken broth for the water. After cooking for about 3 hrs in the slow cooker, I placed Country pork ribs on top that I fried in a pan with salt and pepper and EVOO until browned. Then cooked for another 4-5 hrs or so.

Pan Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
This is a great way to make spinach. It kinda reminded me alot of collard greens. I used frozen spinach. My kids splashed theirs with red wine vinegar however I ate mine just as is with a little salt.

White Bean Spread With Garlic & Rosemary

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Very good. I pressure cooked dry nothern beans for about 45 min (1/2 lb) and sauted minced garlic with ts of dry rosemary, threw in the beans with about 1/8 c of the broth, mashed it and stirred in some white wine, about 2 TB. I tasted it before adding the wine and thought the wine would be a nice touch. I used Chablis. I will be making again.

Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
These were just not as good as people mentioned. Too much chocolate, to thin in the 9x13, too moist. I baked it at 350 for 27 min because I live in CO so I changed the temp but still turned out wet. I wont be making this recipe again. A waste.

Pumpkin Rolls II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
MMMmmmm....tastey, soft and sweet. I used 1 1/2 Tbsp of rapid rise yeast. With rapid rice you don't need to proof the yeast, makes it alot easier. Just threw everything together all at once and mixed with the kitchenaid. I had to put in about 5 1/2 c of flour and bake at 375 because I live in Colorado in high altitude.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This was tastey. I doubled the oatmeal crumble because that is my families favorite part. I cooked it in a cast iron pan and I also put about 1 1/2 dozen caramel candies on top of the apples.
