I'm 28. I have a 9 year old son. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration. At the moment I'm a SAHM and I love my son very much. I love to cook and experiment with new foods.
My favorite things to cook
I love desserts. I love making cakes and pies and brownies and oh my!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I still cook a few things that my mom cooked when we were growing up. Her pot roast is a classic. I love her garlic fried chicken. She passed away in 2008 and I've tried to keep her recipes in the monthly rotation. I love family traditions and I want to pass these down to my own son.
My cooking triumphs
I made my FIRST roast chicken recently! I was so proud at how well it turned out!
My cooking tragedies
I have an indoor turkey fryer. Well.... should've used it outside anyway because even with the right amount of oil. it overflowed when I put the turkey in. I guess maybe the turkey was still too wet or I put it down too fast. whoops!

Amazing Muffin Cups
These were ok. They were tasty and maybe I screwed up cooking them but I followed the directions. They look good but my hash brown cups seemed smaller than should be. They were indeed tasty though. Great and quick way to get all of your breakfast foods in one spot on the go!

Pork Carnitas with Cilantro Tomatillo Sauce
First of all, I HATE corn tortillas. The pork in my opinion didn't have flavor until you swallowed, then it tasted like eating fire. I have also discovered that I do not like tomatillos. They were very prominent and took over the flavor of the sauce.
