I'm 30. I have a 10 year old son. I have my Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration. At the moment I'm a SAHM and I love my son very much. I love to cook and experiment with new foods.

I love desserts. I love making cakes and pies and brownies and oh my!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I still cook a few things that my mom cooked when we were growing up. Her pot roast is a classic. I love her garlic fried chicken. She passed away in 2008 and I've tried to keep her recipes in the monthly rotation. I love family traditions and I want to pass these down to my own son.
My cooking triumphs
I made my FIRST roast chicken recently! I was so proud at how well it turned out!
My cooking tragedies
I have an indoor turkey fryer. Well.... should've used it outside anyway because even with the right amount of oil. it overflowed when I put the turkey in. I guess maybe the turkey was still too wet or I put it down too fast. whoops!

My Chili
so this recipe is delicious. this is almost exactly how I make my homemade chili so I decide to use this recipe and give it a slight makeover. Instead of using ground beef and kidney beans, I used Johnsonville Mild Italian sausage and chili beans and man oh man is it amazing! I think the sausage gave it an extra bit of kick because it has so many other flavors to offer!

Johnsonville Sausage Balls
These were interesting. I cooked them for quite some time, longer than the recipe called for because they weren't done in the time it said. I was waiting on them to brown some. They were still slightly doughy. I was also expecting them to remind of something you'd have for breakfast. Just my misconception. They were somewhat tasty though!

Easy Chicken Veracruz
It was a bit tangy for my taste. With that said, this was a good recipe. It really was. The only thing I didn't care for was the tanginess and I'm fairly certain that was the sauce itself which has nothing to do with the rest of the ingredients. My boyfriend didn't care for it though so I ate his and mine! lol
