Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
My Husband absolutely "loved it". I, personally, would have only given it 3 stars, but that's only because; I'm not a fan of sour cream. But, I thought that with all the other ingredents mixed in; it would blend well. Anyway, the 2 things I did differently was; use cream of mushroom and roasted garlic soup and instead of mixing the cheese in, I sprinkled the cheese over the top and then sprinkled the french onion. I don't recommend doing that because the french onion started to burn before the cooking was done.

Cajun Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
Hubby and I really enjoyed this recipe. I also doubled the ingredience, but I doubled all of them even the flour. I, also, double dipped (flour, milk, flour). My pork chops were self cut from a tenderloin. So,they were 1" to 1 1/2".So, I had to use more oil and cook longer. They are not tender but not too tough either. I guess if I wanted them tender, I would jab/stick them with a fork several times; before flouring and frying them. Will definately make again.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
This recipe is delicious, tender, and juicy!!! To the reviewers that stated the recipe as being dry and/or tasteless, all I can think is that something was done wrong when making the dish. Two thumbs up!!! The only different thing I did was put the salt and pepper on the chops and not in the sauce. Maybe that's the trick that made them tender and juicy.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
I'm not a fan of apples as they are from off the tree, but do like to make things out of them. This apple crisp recipe is sooo good and really easy to make. I do suggest that you prepare the dry ingrediences first before peeling and slicing the apples. It's best when served warm.

Pork Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
I followed this recipe to a tee except for the mustard(can't stand mustard). I thought it to be still very good and can imagine the mustard would give a little kick to it. This would also go great with chicken or any other meat.

Chicken on a Stick

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
I rated this recipe after making the adjustment of adding worchestershire(sp?) and soy sauce. Spouse is a finiky and set in his ways kinda of person. He thought he would have to make adjustments to the meal his own way, at first. Then he tasted it and said that nothing needed to be adjusted and that he liked it just the way it was.

Spicy BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2013
Hubby and I really loved this recipe. I followed the ingredience to the letter. The only difference I did was use only drumsticks and cooked in the slow cooker. I really don't think it would make a difference as to the way it's cooked or even if it's marinated. Next time, I will grill and baste them.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
This is Awsome!!!! I decided to make this before reading reviews and I followed the recipe as written. It's out of this world. I not only reduced the sauce until thick, but I cooked it down until all of the sauce coated the chicken. At first, I thought the soy sauce was going to be over powering because it had a strong smell. So, wrong! with the hot sauce and brown sugar it blended just right with a "sweet and spicy" taste.

White Pizza a la Chick Lit

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2013
This was very easy to make. I also used minced garlic and spread it on before I added the cheese. I also added broccoli before the cheese but after the garlic. I'm not a big fan of alfredo, but think I will use some as part of the sauce.

Mashed Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2013
Made this last night, it was very good. I took the advice of one review and added the garlic and onion powder seasoning. I recommend it. I suggest that you don't listen to the measures of the bacon and the french fried onions and just put the amount of your liking.

Festive Onions

These were soooo good. I will make again. I made this recipe as directed and it tasted great. I don't think I would add anything more to it. New favorite side dish.

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
I always read the reviews before I try something new. I like getting the input, so I can make any adjustments I feel needed. After reading the reviews, I marinated the chicken in the soup mix for about 3hrs and I added every spice I could think of and the measurement of each spice was 1/2 tbs. I put salt, pepper, cajun, cayenne, italion, oregano, and garlic seasoning. I probably put a few others that I can't think of. I recommend adding as many spices and possible and a lot of each. Mine turned out great.

Best Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
I marinated the pork for about 10hrs. I wondered how the combination of the flavors would taste together. Was disappointed when it, basically, only tasted like a meat marinated in soy sauce. I didn't taste any lemon pepper or garlic.Maybe it was because I didn't use "light" soy sauce. Won't make again.

Country Pasta with Mozzarella

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
I liked the taste of this recipe, but just not my cup of tea. I read the reviews and used extra garlic(about 2tbs of minced). Although, I still couldn't taste it. I prefer cajun over cayenne, so I used cajun instead. I thought 1/8 tsp. was not enough; so I free poured. I decided to add all the ingredents except for the mozz. ch. I added that at the end as a layer on top of everything and put a lid on it with heat on medium to melt the cheese. Didn't exactly turn out the way I hoped, but still edible. Won't make again, but might use the concept in another recipe.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
This was nothing like the garlic-cheese biscuit I was looking for. I barely tasted the garlic or the cheese. I even took the advice of one review to double the garlic and cheese. Won't make again.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 27, 2013
I thought this to be really good. It was a little more on the sweet side than barbeque side, but that could have been because I used "honey" barbeque sauce.Otherwise a really good recipe.

Julia's Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2013
I didn't think this recipe had enough flavor to it. I also used cr. of chick because I didn't have any cr. of mush. I used drumstick, instead of breast. I don't think any of the changes would have made a difference to the amount of flavoring.

Scalloped Potato-Onion Bake

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
This recipe was awsome! I seasoned each layer with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and diced ham. I forgot the paprika, but I don't think that really mattered. Don't know if the sauce was suppose to be thick or thin. Mine was watery, but it didn't matter. It was still very yummy.
