Cranberry Walnut Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I started out with 1/4 cup less water, after reading some comments. It was dry so I did add 1/8 back in. I chopped up apricots, pineapple and candied cherries and citron along with the cranberries, it was good. I will make again and add more fruit next time.

Almond Squares II

These are so good, a little delicate tho, I thought. I used the paste and cut the sugar down to half a cup, still plenty sweet. I also added vanilla with the almond extract.

Simple Scones

Made these for the first time today, it's the only recipe I've ever tried, and I don't think I need look further. I used non fat sour cream, added vanilla, craisins and white chocolate chunks. They are wonderful, I can't wait to share them.

Sugar 'n' Spice Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
Everyone loved them, kept asking me what I put in them and that I should go into business selling them. I used orange juice instead of water, mace instead of nutmeg and added a little cayenne. I baked them longer at a lower temp. At first they looked too wet, but finally baked up nice and crispy.

Marietta's White Chocolate Macadamia Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
I could not really taste the liquer in these and I used the Di Saronno. Next time i'll add a bit of almond flavor to accent the amaretto. They were gobbled up, and I had lots of favorable comments. I also made the second baking time 15 minutes and flipped them over halfway thru.

Almond Anise Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2007
I'll make these again, tho I agree that they do need a bit more splenda, so next time i'll use 1 cup. I used butter, and added vanilla, almond extract and a half teaspoon of salt, because I used unsalted butter. Left the anise out, I like it, but since these already had almonds, I thought almond flavor would be better. I took them to a potluck today, came home with no leftovers. Did not get as many as they stated, maybe I should have made the biscotti log flatter. Also, this recipe did not say to bake twice, which I thought is what biscotti meant. So I baked the slices an additional 20 minutes, ten each side.
