Reviewed: May 2, 2013
Made this exactly as the recipe said and it was a big hit - the whole family said it was delicious!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
Absolutely delicious! Best chicken soup, ever. I did not change any of the ingredients, but I did change the way I put it together. I put the butter, onion and celery in the crockpot for about 40 minutes. Then I added the leftover grilled chicken I had and all the other ingredients except the noodles. After about 5 hours I added the thick, homemade style, dried noodles and cooked another hour. So much easier than my old method, and the family liked it better!

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
Recipe was good as written, but to make it even better I threw everything but the barley in the crockpot, added a spash of worcestershire, and cooked it about 6 hours, then added the barley and cooked another 45 minutes. I did use stew meat instead of a roast, and diced tomatoes instead of stew, but it was easy and very filling.

Simply the Easiest Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
Love it! It was so easy, and tasted wonderful. I had NO leftovers at all. I followed the recipe exactly and we did not find it sweet at all, but the brown sugar did cut the chili sauce enough that it was tangy instead of hot. Instead of covering it with foil, I wrapped it in foil, so even the clean up was super easy. Definitely my new favorite way to cook a brisket!

Herbed Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
I gave this three stars. I prepared it ahead, and it was easy to prepare, but it was both bland and odd tasting at the same time. The poultry seasoning gave it a really strange aftertaste and was the only flavor that stood out - couldn't even taste the garlic.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
I left out the mushrooms, and added a chopped onion when browning the meat. Everybody loved it. If you brown about 4 times the meat you need, you can freeze itthe extra in appropriate portions and then throw it in the crockpot and make it even easier the next few times. :)

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
just ok. a little too vinegary for us, but had good flavor otherwise. I may try it again with half the vinegar

Kielbasa and Veggies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
I made it in the crock pot! It was super easy. We don't care for lemon pepper, so I used Mrs. Dash, and I added an onion. It took 4 hours on high for the potatoes to get done and it got all thumbs up from the family.

Pork Loin and Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
This was wonderful! There were no leftovers, and the kids kept coming back for more. I used thin sliced pork loin chops, and I did add an onion. Moist and tasty!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2012
super easy, have to be careful it's not too spicy for the younger children. It's one of my "uh oh, I am running late what am I going to cook!?!" meals....not gourmet, but gets the job done

Italian Sausage with Farfalle and Broccoli Rabe

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2012
This was a HUGE hit with my family! Everyone loved it, from the 6 year old to the 50 year old. The only thing I did differently was substitute frozen broccoli for the rabe - could not find it locally. They even ate the leftovers with smiles on their faces - which is saying a lot. This recipe fed the 10 of us with about 2 helpings leftover, and was very quick and easy to make.
