Easy, fast, and you can use with SO many things! I double it for a cheesecake because it goes so fast!

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
This is everything a cheesecake should be! My first wasn't nearly done enough so I cook it twice as long as it states. It tastes its best after sitting in the fridge a day, so you may want to plan ahead. I use a simple cracker crust recipe instead and I've now become the "cheesecake woman" in the family. My brother in law didn't previously like cheesecake until I made this one. My Mom said its better than Eli's or Cheesecake factory. It is dense you can easily serve 12 using one cake. I make a strawberry puree and whipped cream on top. WOW.

Easy Alfredo Sauce II

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Wow, this is GOOD. Don't feel like you have to use heavy cream. I used milk and is was wonderful. I added a pinch of garlic, and parsley flakes and also made extra because we like our alfedo very saucy. It seemed to cool off the pasta too much so I heated it a bit while mixing it.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
I followed other reviews and mixed dry/wet ingred. separately, doubled the topping, putting 1/2 of it in the middle of the bread, and I love vanilla so I added a bit extra. I didn't have buttermilk and the only kind of yogurt I had was apple so I tried it and it came out great! I wish we hadn't eaten so much last night because it tasted better this morning and there isn't much left. This ones a keeper.

I used half butter flavored Crisco and half butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and a little less sugar. The best yellow recipe I ever tried. David you rock!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
I scaled this to 18 servings and was able to generously frost 9 inch cake. I used real vanilla extract, half unsalted butter and half butter flavored Crisco. I only used half of the ammount of salt it called for. Anymore I thought would have been too much. IT WAS AWESOME! I cannot believe how much like a bakery this tasted. A+++++++++++++++++++++++

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
This is THE BEST pound cake I have ever made/had! Everyone always looks for it at holiday and family gatherings. A few changes I made were just 2 cups sugar, and instead of almond I use 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1-2 tsp of lemon extract. I also make a simple lemon glaze to go on top...EXCELLENT and VERY MOIST! Tastes the best after sitting for a day!

The Amazing Swedish Meatball

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2005
The meatballs were terrific! I used a LOT less salt than the recipe called for, but it still didn't help the sauce. We didn't care for it at all.

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2004
Although I did follow previous posts and double the filling, it didn't do much for this recipie. It was dry and lacking something. Half of the cake is still sitting there after 3 days.
