Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
This is the best trifle I have ever made! I made this for my grandmother's Christmas gathering this year. My great aunt went back three times to get more because she liked it so much! There were not many leftovers left, and my husband and mother-in-law fought over them! Will be doing again very soon (at everyone's request)!

Molasses Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
This was an easy, simple recipe to follow and do. I cooked these cookies for my husband and father, who both love molasses cookies. They are especially delicious when they first come out of the oven and are warm. Will definitely make these again! The dough also freezes very well.

Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I made these one night for my husband and me. They tasted strongly of onion and not really anything like potato pancakes I have had in the past. My husband, who has never had potato pancakes, told me that he thought they were good however. I will try this recipe again because he asked me to; I will try less onion next time.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Excellent! Made this for the folks last night for dessert. I used a tad more raisins than the recipe called for, but my mother-in-law, who doesn't like raisins, ate it anyway! My father-in-law said to keep this recipe handy. Next time I might chocolate chips or fruit or both!

Parmesan Crusted Baby Carrots

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
Hmmm hmmm! My husband and I served these along with the Healthier Stuffed Peppers recipe, on this website, for my mother's birthday. Everyone loved them! The only downfall is there wasn't enough carrots for everyone to get seconds! Will make more next time!

Healthier Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
Excellent! My husband and I made these stuffed peppers for my mother's birthday dinner. I served them with the Parmesan carrot recipe also listed on this website. They just needed a little salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese to touch them up.

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
Awesome! I made this for an European-themed holiday party a few years back, but never got a chance to review it. It was great, and everyone commented on the moistness of the cake and the caramel sauce. I will be making it for my husband, who has a constant sweet tooth, very soon!

Southern Chess Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
A great way to get a sweet fix! I made these last night at my husband and father-in-law's request. They turned out good, but slightly burnt. I cooked them for forty-five minutes like the recipe suggested, but next time will check on them after thirty minutes. Will try again with a shorter cook time!

Roasted Okra

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2012
For us this recipe was good, but not excellent. We followed the recipe and the okra came out a little bland. We'll try it again probably, but add a little bit more seasoning to it.

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2012
This was great! I made this for the family last night and doubled the recipe. There were no leftovers! However, we didn't have olive oil, paprika, or onion powder. I used vegetable oil instead and omitted the paprika and onion powder. Still turned out great! Will definitely make this again! I am interested in putting it on chicken or on ham!
