Smoked Sausage Frittata

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This frittata is very similar to the quiche that I make. Light and fluffy, it's great with fresh fruit, carrot salad, or on its own. The Butterball Smoked Turkey Dinner Sausage is the perfect compliment to the eggs, cheese, and veggies. My family loved it!

Passover Apples and Honey (Charoset)

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
Simple, easy Charoset. Kosher wine can be exchanged for grape juice, and pecans can be substituted for walnuts (either way, this recipe is easy and delicious). My apples and nuts were chunkier, rather than finely chopped.

Haroset

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
This is very similar to the recipe my mom used. I don't feel like the extra sugar is necessary (unless you're using a wine that's not that sweet). I used Manischewitz Blackberry, and it was sweet enough. I don't cut my apples too finely, and I like my walnuts chopped a little bit larger as well.

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
I can't say enough about how much I love this casserole. My mother made it years ago, and I haven't had it in a while, but I have to say I ate almost the entire casserole myself (over several days, that is). I used fresh green beans and they were crisp and sweet and worked perfectly with the creaminess of the Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup. And I have to say, I've never put soy sauce in this recipe before, but it sure gave it an extra (excellent) kick. I would make this again, not just for Thanksgiving, but any time of year!

I love anything with beans. And tomatoes. And sausage. This recipe has all of the above. Hearty, delicious comfort food. Sweet beans mixed with juicy tomatoes, savory spices, and delicious Johnsonville sausage. You can't go wrong with this recipe.

Shepherd's Pie Daddy's Way

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Easy, delicious recipe. My family liked it because there were no vegetables in it (I was able to make a favorite vegetable on the side), and we had all of the ingredients on hand. We all fought over the leftovers. (This was great the first day, but even better the next day!) To add a twist, I used Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Three Cheese Italian Style (decased and minced), instead of the ground beef. This added zip and lots of extra flavor. This will be a favorite in our house no matter which way I make it (original recipe or with a twist).

Johnsonville® Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Delicious alternative to ground beef! I used the Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Cajun Style and it added a wonderful zip to the recipe. (I had to use chicken sausage because my husband keeps Kosher and I can't use pork sausage.) The meatballs were tender and delicious. One note: Ground sausage (or link sausage, uncased) is different from ground beef. Ground beef tends to stick together, so you definitely need the "binding" ingredient(s) in this recipe (eggs, breadcrumbs). Definitely worth it, though!

Maple Basted Roast Turkey with Cranberry Pan Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
You can't go wrong with a delicious, maple-basted whole Butterball® turkey. The meat just fell off the bone. The maple gave the turkey just the right about of sweetness (not overpowering) and the cranberry gravy was off the chain. Served with a side (I chose carrots), you have the perfect meal. We ate EVERY BIT of this turkey in about two days (even using the bones for a soup and a stock). Outstanding.
