Skillet Chicken and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
Very nice stuffing recipe. I'm not a fan of the apple, so I would leave it out next time. The celery added a nice flavor. My family liked it a lot!

Garlic Chicken and Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
One word: Delicious. My daughter, who balks at cooked vegetables, couldn't stop eating it. I did add a pinch of salt to the recipe, but other than that, I prepared it exactly as suggested. I will definitely be making it again!

Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2013
Instead of your typical roasted asparagus, why not grill it? Great flavor, great consistency. A hit with the family!

Sizzling Southwest Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
A nice alternative to your run-of-the-mill burger. I used lean, green, grass-fed beef. The spices complimented the flavor of the natural beef. I loved the idea of topping my burger with the sour cream and salsa. Delicious!

Roasted Beets and Sauteed Beet Greens

Wonderful recipe. The sweet beets combined with the savory greens make a wonderful combination. I'll be making this recipe for years to come.

Easy Southern Fried Green Tomatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2013
Easy, tangy, and tasty. Make sure you slice your tomatoes thin, so they cook through and through. I would make these again.

Chocolate Covered Matzo

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
This recipe was a total surprise for me. I have made chocolate covered matzoh for years, but not with this type of recipe. Mine was plain old matzoh, coated with chocolate. This is more of a toffee/chocolate covered matzoh and it was well worth it to give it a try. It is delicious and easy to make.

Old Fashioned Potato Kugel

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Very good and very easy. My family loved it. Mom used to use the boxed potato pancake mix, but this is much better!

Matzo Brei

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
This is very close to how my mom made it. I like mine a little bit more "eggy" so I will do three or four eggs (beaten with a hand mixer) per recipe. I also use butter instead of oil. Delicious!

Passover Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
Very good recipe. I did leave it in five minutes longer than the recipe called for. Better alternative to Passover boxed dessert mixes, and easy enough for anyone to make. I would definitely make it again.

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
My family loves butter mints, and this is a much "healthier" alternative to store-bought. I used chopped, fresh mint instead of peppermint oil and stored them in the fridge.

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
These truly were amazing. The potatoes were crispy and buttery, and the layers worked really well together. The top was fluffy and the hash browns sweet, with a layer of sausage-goodness in-between. My family is craving this recipe so I'll be making it again and again!

Johnsonville Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Delicious alternative to ground beef! I used the Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Cajun Style and it added a wonderful zip to the recipe. (I had to use chicken sausage because my husband keeps Kosher and I can't use pork sausage.) The meatballs were tender and delicious. One note: Ground sausage (or link sausage, uncased) is different from ground beef. Ground beef tends to stick together, so you definitely need the "binding" ingredient(s) in this recipe (eggs, breadcrumbs). Definitely worth it, though!

Shepherd's Pie Daddy's Way

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Easy, delicious recipe. My family liked it because there were no vegetables in it (I was able to make a favorite vegetable on the side), and we had all of the ingredients on hand. We all fought over the leftovers. (This was great the first day, but even better the next day!) To add a twist, I used Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Three Cheese Italian Style (decased and minced), instead of the ground beef. This added zip and lots of extra flavor. This will be a favorite in our house no matter which way I make it (original recipe or with a twist).
