About this Cook
I am a new mom and I want to master cooking for my family so they will always be fond of me for it when they grow up. There's nothing like going back to mom's house for a home cooked meal and I can't do that for my kids if all I ever gave them was fast food and tv dinners. I want to seriously learn how to cook amazing meals that they will crave once they leave the house. Even though this is years down the road, I guess it's my way of getting them to come back home to visit me.
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast, Dinner and Desserts. I always seem to not care as much about lunches. We end up eating leftovers from the previous dinner for lunch.
My cooking triumphs
I'm new at this. I baked 2 amazing homemade batches of chocolate chocolate chip cookies on 8/8/12. My first time cooking from scratch.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a bbq/teryaki/pineapple burger and totally ruined the texture by adding too much juice/sauce to it. It was sad.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup
I did things a little differently. I didn't cook the noodle ahead of time as that would be silly. Sauteed the onion, celery and carrots in a pot with butter, poured in the chicken broth, had the chicken cooking in a separate pot. Once the broth was boiling I added the egg noodles, and began chopping the chicken into small cubes. Added that and some poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. I let it simmer for about 20 minutes while I made some grilled cheese to go along with it. Came out great! Hubby was happy and we had left over soup for lunch the next day :)

Fudgy Brownies I
So yummy!! I actually had exactly 1/3 cup vegetable oil left, so for the 2nd 1/3 cup, I had to use Olive oil. They came out pretty awesome though!! My hubby loved them!

Zucchini Pizza Bake
This came out amazing! I used 1 cup of bread crumbs in the zucchini mix to make it more crusty. I made mine with just peppers and cheese on top since I'm not a fan of mushrooms or black olives, and it was very very good. My husband loved it! I would recommend this to anyone!
