Pork Chops Smothered in Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
I do not often cook meat in a skillet, but this recipe sounded good and I felt up to giving it a try! The recipe was easy to follow, and the results were very good! The pork chops had a nice flavor, and the gravy was delicious.

Dutch Cinnamon Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
I have mixed feelings over this one, and I think I've learned my lesson about not reading reviewer comments first... LOL! This was rather dry and crumbly while mixng, but I followed directions as written. The end result is a tasty little treat, nice with some fresh fruit and yogurt on the side.

Peach-Basil White Sangria

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
I love this recipe! Light, easy, and I can use the basil from my garden! I've made it twice now, and haven't used agave nectar or even sugar, and we just drink it right up. :)

Grilled Salmon Greek Pitas

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
I liked everything about this recipe! It came together simply using fresh, healthy igredients, and it tasted delicious! And clean-up was a snap! I grabbed flatbread by accident (instead of the called for pita bread), and we actually liked it this way!

Grilled Masala Chicken with Vegetables

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
Shared the results with some friends, who all really liked it. The flavor was good, the chicken was moist, and clean-up was a snap! I did bake it in the oven, following the directions in the notes section.

Montana Tonic

Reviewed: May 26, 2014
This is a great summer-time beverage! Mine had just the right amount of zip, thanks to the combo of sun-brewed black tea, raspberry tonic, and lemon sparkling water. I didn't even need to add sugar!

Chiliville Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
My teen and I made this for dinner last night - and though the whole family enjoyed it, we all agreed that it was a little too tomato-y for us, and it had more liquid than we like. To solve that, I think I would simmer at least half of the time with the lid off. We did like the combination of ground beef and Italian sausage, which I will incorporate into my personal recipe going forward. :)

Grilled Steak and Asian Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
I made this for a Sunday supper in August - the weather was just right for grilling, and I love to incorporate seasonal veggies into my meals. The noodle and veggie part was so good, like a new form of comfort food. And nothing tops a noodle salad like a few slices of perfectly seasoned and grilled steak!

Grilled Steak and Asian Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
I made this for a Sunday supper in August - the weather was just right for grilling, and I love to incorporate seasonal veggies into my meals. I cut down on the amount of red pepper, and added zucchini and yellow squash, which we really liked. The noodle and veggie part was so good, like a new form of comfort food. And nothing tops a few slices of perfectly seasoned and cooked steak!

Easy Rum-Flavored Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
This was a bit different, and not bad. I think I sautéed a little longer than I should have, as the black beans etc. was a little thicker than we would have liked. Otherwise, this had a decent flavor.

Sweet Dijon Basa Swai Fish (or a fish of your choice)

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
This recipe was super quick and easy, and the sauce was delicious! I prepared it using tilapia filets. The only change I made was to open up the foil packets after about 8 minutes, and I finished baking another 6-7 minutes.

Spiced-Up Grilled Tater Wedges

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
I made a batch of these last night, and must admit that I doubled the amount of spices used. I planned to use twice the number of potatoes, but decided instead to use the doubled mix on just the four. I'm glad I did, as the flavor was just right! I also mixed up some Buffalo Ranch salad dressing with some plain sour cream to make a tasty dip that went well with the spice of the potatoes.

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
A delicious and different way to enjoy a good steak! We cook London broil fairly often, and I will typically marinate it overnight in a varying mixture. This was my first time doing just a rub, and the steak was delicious all on its own. But with the addition of the bleu cheese butter, well... Perfection!! My only note - Make more next time!

Johnsonville® One-Pan Italian

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
Another Johnsonville hit for us! I made as directed, using Hunts Four Cheese canned sauce and Johnsonville Mild Italian Sausage. I did add about 1/2 cup more water while everything was simmering, as it seemed to be drier than I liked. We were very happy with the results!

Japanese Green Beans with Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
This was a super quick and easy recipe, enjoyed by me, my husband, and our teenaged son!! I chose to substitute Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage in place of the beef. Everything pulled together nicely, and resulted in an interesting taste combination. I'm sure I will be craving this in the future!

Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
Other than the fact that I have never been very successful at frying things... This was delicious!! I usually like to roast my asparagus with some simple seasoning, but tonight I was in the mood for something different. I am glad that I tried this easy recipe, and will definitely make it again, trying other coatings and adding seasonings depending on the meal and my mood!

Sweet and Simple Pork Chops

We sampled this recipe along-side another pork chop recipe. This one was very quick and easy to make, and it allowed my husband to 'help out' by cooking on the grill! The apple and cheese topping was delicious, and went nicely with the pork.
