Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
i marinated the chicken for a few hours before broiling these with zucchini and red peppers for colorful and delicious shish kabobs. the leftover chicken would be great sliced for tomorrow's lunch sandwich.

Crunchy Wheat and Rye

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
this bread was delicious. i left out the sugar as it was sweet enough with just the honey and used a combination of cracked wheat and flax seeds instead of the grape nuts. thanks for the great recipe.

Dee's Health Bread

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
amazing bread!!! i made the dough in the bread machine (half recipe) and baked it in the oven. you can add or substitute so many things...oats/wheat germ etc.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
this chicken was delicious. i followed other reviewer's advice and used much less oil, but i didn't have any curry at home and used garlic and some dried thyme to give it more dimension. the dijon mustard also gave it a nice kick. i'll definitely make this again! chicken tops cook to perfect juicy-ness at 350 for 45-50 minutes.

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
this bread is excellent, although we preferred it the second time i made it, after all the changes- based on the reviews here. firstly, i scaled the recipe to 15 servings, then added more flour and more yeast (2t). i replaced half the flour with whole wheat flour with some vital wheat gluten, and also added a little wheat germ. used the dough cycle and then let it rise twice before baking it for about 40 minutes. ENJOY!

Bran Flax Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
these muffins are so healthy and really delicious! i substituted oatmeal+cornmeal+wheatgerm for the oat bran and whole flax seeds instead of ground flax seeds. instead of the raisins, i added a handful of craisins and lots of chocolate chips... that's what gets my husband to eat them!

just made this for supper -it was so easy. i did make quite a few changes, mrs dash instead of the oregano, added some leftover chicken, served it in tortillas with sliced avocado and dressing inside (mayo, ketchup, chili powder & garlic powder).

Muesli

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
i've been making this without a recipe for years. it's delicious with chopped granny smith apples, and any other fruits in season. i actually made it this morning-before coming across this recipe- using strawberries, apples, banana...it usually stays in the fridge for a few hours to soften up and absorb the yogurt. after finding this recipe i added craisins, wheat germ, chopped pecans and sliced almonds. YUM!

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
the bread tasted good, but for some reason it didn't rise well and was extremely dense. maybe next time i will try 1/2 bread flour and 1/2 whole wheat. i wonder if the problem was the 'stone ground' whole wheat flour.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
the cookies are delicious... i baked only 2, and formed balls and froze the rest so we'll have a treat ready to bake when we're in the mood. the recipe is very similar to quaker oats' 'vanishing oatmeal cookies'- just an extra 1/2C sugar and flour here.
